While the location as such is ok for commuters to Stockholm (15-20 mins to inner city by car or train, a shopping mall and McDonalds nearby), and the hotel also has a couple of nice features.

Fantastic location, next to tour boats and right in the city centre.

It geographycally close to Akalla business park, but not well connected with it - either use taxi (expensive) or bus (goes quite rarely).

So, if you think about to stay in Scandic Sollentuna due to busness in Akalla I would personally recommend to stay in City and use metro to/from Akalla.

At first we didn't got the room we had reserved and payed for, we booked a superior room (that was supposed to be on the highest floor with separate beds and bedroom) but just got a single with an extra bed on the first floor.

We booked this property because the room had a separate bedroom (we have a toddler who goes to bed at 7pm), it is from the Hilton chain and the price was reasonable (for Sweden).

I found the staff to be very pleasant, the rooms quite large (we had a bedroom and living room area) and the overall atmosphere very nice.

We paid just a little less than at Hasselbacken, and by comparison, the room was pretty dumpy, and the bed set-up was horrible.

For two (married) adults and two kids, we got two twin beds, and a couch that had a trundle bed.

The breakfast was also a pity with almost all food had runned out just 9 o clock in the morning and the breakfast personell even took away our coffee and sandwhiches (that we hadn't even started to eat) when we just went to get sugar for our coffee!

Only the main restaurant was open during our stay (mid-August) and it wasn't open for lunch.

It is close to a shopping center that has a huge grocery store stocked with everything imaginable (there is also a McDonald's there and a good Italian restaurant upstairs (that is inexpensive).

Don't expect much as far as the restaurant(s) go.

But from other side - recently renovated health club, free wi-fi internet, good breakfast (nothing special, but good enough).

Services are on a good level and the waitress tells me to use the warm milk next to the coffee instead.

And - their personnel's interest into serving their customers is close to 0 - except from the front desk.

The reception kindly lent us a fan, but it didn't help much and so the night was spent in rather oppressive circumstances.

The self-service buffet - heck, dirty glasses not cleaned for days.

The receptionist was arrogant and unfriendly.

The pool is only open from 5-10pm - not sure why since it isn't supervised.

Rooms on the compact side but clean, tidy and well laid out.

The price was reasonable and the room was spotless.

They didn't clean our room, and while the breakfast buffet was pretty good, it was crowded and in a dumpy atrium.
