Scandic Edderkoppen Oslo - 奥斯陆

This Hotel is set in a perfect location - about 15 minutes walk from the olso bus terminal and about 5 minutes walk in to the town centre.

I walked to the hotel from the National Theater train station (having taken the fast train from the airport).

As others have pointed out, it's a very easy 10-minute walk from Nationaltheatret Station, first stop after Oslo Central (Oslo-S), and reachable directly from Gardermoen airport.

I was booked into a single room by my company but asked for a double bed and was offered a very reasonable price to upgrade to a suite.

The Room was of a reasonable size a lovely comfy bed with flat screen tv with a mixture of channels available.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the work area was more than adequate.

The rooms were clean where it mattered, such as the bathroom and the beds, but if you looked too closely into the corners or under the desk you'd see some fluff and bits, but nothing awful and by no means 'dirty'.

Bed wasn't comfortable, and bathroom lacked a bathmat, which made showering and then stepping on the tile floor a bit exciting.

There is a restaurant in the hotel, but I ate out every night as there is a wealth of restaurants in the city centre.

The left side is a restaurant, which we didn't try, but the right is an atmospheric bar that serves very good proper steak burgers and good Norwegian beers.

The restaurant was a bit of a let down as they only offered a scandic(hilton) burger, some pasta dish and fish and chips, yes that is all!

Hotel itself is very nicely presented, bar/lounge works well and service was good.

The bar had a good amosphere, and the reception team were so friendly and helpfull, able to answer all my questions.

I just don't recognise the place from the previous reviewer's comments - other than the helpfulness of the front desk staff.

The staff on the front desk were helpful and polite at all times, were happy to let us check out late (2pm) and all spoke very good English.

Hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful ie booking a taxi for us and helping us find things on the map.

However, the Edderkoppen is filthy from the moment you enter the staircase/elevator lobby to go to your room - and it smells.

Parking is not cheap, but my colleague parked on the street overnight with no problem and we left early the next morning.

There is also desktop computers in lobby with free internet access.

There is free high speed internet access, which is a plus.

The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable, furnished in the spare Scandinavian style.

Nice Clean bathroom with a huge shower that you could fit about 5 people in and a heated tiled floor!

The room is not large, but not small, and clean.

However, the sheets and bathroom were clean.
