Scalford Hall Melton Mowbray

Scalford Hall proved an excellent location for a perfect mini break during the February half term holiday.

Its location were excellent, we had a very relaxed stay and staff were welcoming and friendly.

The location was perfect for my business trip in the area, the quality of the evening meal was of a very good standard and staff were helpful and friendly.

The food was enjoyable and the grounds are wonderful, a brilliant location for wedding.

In a beautiful setting and basic accomodation in lovely old building in lovely location.

Bedrooms were very very basic (and chintzy)-yes they had a bed, two chairs, tv and tea and coffee facilities and all ensuite.

We paid for a double room but also only got a 4ft bed.

The bathroom suite was a very light green colour and carpetted too (with a fushia carpet)toiliteries were provided as were towels.

The bed was very comfortable, we had an early start so were given a breakfast tray for the next morning.

Our room was lovely we were in the origional part of the building and our room had a feature stone fireplace and wooden beams, the bathroom was modern and the room in general was spotless.

In addition food was realy nice in a pleasent dining room, the breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long everything cooked perfect.

We ate in the Restaurant and had a three course meal, there was a good choice and the food was hearty and delicious, especially the desert which I was informed was homemade.

Good food available from the hotel bar and friendly staff.

Excellent meal in the restaurant and good facilities.

The food was mediocre but the breakfast was ok.

Good value for the price, excellent service and the staff were very accommodating in providing meals at late times.

Excellent value for money, lovely main building and the wonderful reception received from all staff- Extremely helpful.

The male receptionist on duty made sure we had a room gave us easy access outside and i loved the fact that there was a tea dance going on in reception as we were checking in.

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque location, the friendly staff and good service at buffet breakfast.

The food was first class and plentiful,and what can I say about the staff they were all brilliant for customer service this is the best.

The location was good to access the rural area around Melton, the service was excellent at the hotel and staff were very pleasant and helpful.

It has got beautiful grounds-very grand garden with a fish pond and a giant chess set.

Attractive grounds & views over countryside, pubs nearby also Melton not far away and good food & clean room / hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable, staff couldn't do more to help and the food excellent.

Quality was good, front of house staff attentive came to clearing away glasses and our room was very comfortable and clean.

Rooms were clean ,nicely furnished and spacious.

Clean and modern with a nice big bathroom.
