The location of the hotel is directly on the beach and with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach at night it was truly a relaxing holiday!
You expect to pay more for the location but we had starters, a main course, half a litre of house wine (which was very nice).
The "sea front" rooms are well worth the modest mark up and location are all great.
We visited Chania and the venetian harbour several times choosing a taxi rather than a bus.
The hotel have a great reputation for quality, so the taxi drivers cant be helpful enough.
The bed was very comfortable, the room spacious and very clean, and included a large bathroom (by European standards).
Having booked one of the side sea view rooms, upon our arrival to the hotel we were told that we had been allocated a suite - so we didn't complain and quickly disappeared to find our room.
The service was excellent and the bed was very comfortable.
When we asked again on day two, we returned in the afternoon to find that the bed sheet had been removed as well.

The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is well-located by the pool with a view of the sea.
The bar by the pool serves food which is bit expensive, it is worth wandering down the beech and eating in some of the beach cafes as they are cheaper and have better choice.
Chania harbour is packed full of tavernas and shops with quaint little side streets full of restaurants.
The accomodation, food and location are all great with the lovely sandy beach only 50 yards from the hotel bar.
The area around the inner harbor was quite beautiful, though filled with very touristy restaurants and gift shops.
The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were so helpful - particularly the wonderful receptionist, who's name I cannot recall, and the cocktail waiter, Christopher, who is incredibly knowledgeable and makes a wonderful Brandy Sour!
