Overview

Located rather far from the city center in the Village of Aghia Marina, the four-star Santa Marina Beach Chania features a long sandy beach.

This beach hotel consists of two complexes, surrounded by extensive gardens and connected with the underground tunnel.

All 188 spacious comfortable rooms and suites have balconies and private bathrooms.

Two hotel restaurants, including a self-service restaurant, lobby, pool bar and the beach bar are available onsite for the guests, serving traditional Greek cuisine as well as international ones.

Hotel can host business events, offering Wi-Fi internet access.

There are two separate complexes in the hotel – a beach complex and a pool complex.

The beach complex has 122 rooms and one suite. They are standard sea front double rooms and standard garden view double rooms.

The pool complex offers 66 room and three suites, seven maisonettes, which are standard pool view double rooms and standard garden view double rooms.

All rooms have marble and tiled floors.

Double room garden view offers sea view and a furnished balcony or terrace with a view to the garden. Extra bed can be added for the third person.

Double room pool view is furnished balcony or terrace with a view to the swimming pool. An extra bed for the third person is available.

Beach front double room has a balcony or terrace with a view to the sea.

Single room garden view, single room sea view and family room are double-storey with wooden steps, the second TV and a second bathroom with a shower box.

There are only seven units with furnished balcony on the lower level either with a view to the garden or with a view to the swimming pool.

Dining options

The Main Restaurant, located in the beach complex is open for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving traditional Cretan dishes and international dishes. Seating is available indoors and on the outdoors terrace beside the sea.

Breakfast is served from 7.15am to 10.15am, lunch from 1pm to 3pm and dinner from 7pm to 9.30pm.

A la carte Azzuro Restaurant is exclusive one with outdoor terrace beside the sea. Pre-booking is necessary because of limited seating. The restaurant offers Cretan and international dishes.

Once a week it offers its guests the traditional Cretan Night, hosted in the Main Restaurant with live music, and Greek dancers, serving buffet dinner with traditional Cretan dishes.

Airport Souda is in 68km

Head east on Aerodromiou toward Pros Aerodromio, take the second right onto Pros Aerodromio Chanion, then left onto Choris Onoma, continue to Pros Aerodromio Chanion. At the roundabout please take the first exit, continue onto Agiou Georgiou and to the roundabout, take the second exit onto Soudas-Pithariou, turn right to Ellis, then left onto Leoforos Konstantinou Karamanli, again right onto Alexandrou Zaimi, continue following route 90, turn right to route 90/E65, continue onto Eleftherias, then go left onto Kalamakiou and continue onto Kato Stalou and Agias Marinas. The hotel will be on the left.

We arrived at the airport to a lovely car waiting for us, nice place and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small well kept and cleaned thoroughly, the salads were always fresh and plentiful.

Worth a stay just for the ocean view from the beach, brilliant staff and good for water polo. Clean towels each day too and impressive cuisine. Waiters were all very nice and helpful.

Excellent views from the restaurant and the next town along is supposed to be very lively. The hotel is good, rooms at the pool side building we stayed are comfortable and elegant, staff are very friendly whether the at reception. The local wines are also nice.

I the beach was super, our room was on the pool side of the road and was in very pleasant surroundings, the hotel did offer internet services for a fee was useful. All the staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and there was a very large wardrobe and plenty of drawers, the food was a level better than I expected.

Lovely balcony overlooking the beach, great beachside location and the hotel is located in the quieter end of agia marina. Staff are super friendly, the rooms are all renewed and modern furnished, pool sunbeds are free and do not expect get any.

Nice beach, we stayed on the most and the room overlooking the sea was spacy and offered a wonderful view. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, food in restaurant was very tasty and varied.
