Santa Ana

Our room has a nice view to the sea and the hotel is in a superb location next to a clean sandy beach.

The location is excellent and as we had a room right on the front just sitting on the balconey was a treat in itself.

Good location, just 'inside' the beach, and 2 minutes from the bus station.

We arrived at the Santa Ana by a 30min bus trip from the airport.

No1 form Airport to Placa Easpana, then No 3 bus to 5 star NIxe hotel).

Would I recommend it - Yes, but "Bed & Breakfast" only!

22 of us arrived at the Santa Ana in the morning, checked in ok, had to wait about 5 hours for our rooms though, but didn't expect to get a room before midday.

In addition the location of the hotel is good and rooms are decorated in old-fashioned traditional spanish style - I really liked.

If you have a late flight, there is a secure luggage room and availabilty to a shower room (they even give you fresh towels) before you finally depart.

Room was clean and cleaned with fresh towels every day.

You are obliged to pay your drinks 'on the real time' when going to the restaurant or to the bar, nothing for the room account!

Further up the hill, "Cafe Centro" provides cheap and bountiful breakfasts.

Cala Mayor itself was starting to close down for the winter but there were enough bars & restaurants to please us & it was only €1.

Breakfast was quite adequate with fruit cereal, cold meats, cheeses etc.

I enjoyed the entertainment which was laid on in the bar each night.

Reception staff helpful and smiling, specially the old man.

A big, busy Spanish hotel with great customer service!

The staff are endlessly helpful and mostly multi-lingual.

The hotel staff were really helpful and if you tried to use their language rather than shout at them in English you always received a smile and a nice word in exchange.

The hotel's beach/pool bar and terrace are wonderful retreats in fine or stormy weather!

So much so, the pool cleaner insisted that we moved from our seats watching the sunset so that he could finish the job!

Location was excellent - right on the beach and pool was clean.
