My husband and I emmigrated to UAE from UK and his company put us up in this hotel, I therefore have no idea of the cost to stay.

The bus is airconditioned and is used by workers and staff at the airport.

A very helpful uniformed 'commissionaire' type of guy at the airport saw me onto the bus - the stop is not obvious.

The room was magnificent - two very comfortable double beds to choose from and lots of space.

The rooms are tired and the bathroom shabby.

There is no in-room Internet and the 'Internet Cafe' is three notebooks setup in the lobby.

The service was terrible (I arrived at 10pm after a long flight and my room wasn't ready for me - I had to wait 45 minutes!

There is a shopping mall with a food supermarket and coffee shop (the latter closed during Ramadan in the day) within walking distance of the hotel but it is not very close to other major attractions.

Worst of all, the Lebanese restaurant on the 3rd floor has a band playing until 4AM on at least Sat, Sun and Mon night.

It was Ramadan when I was there and the hotel had a traditional tent and trappings in the reception area, which was of a pretty good standard.

Lifts were quite grandiose too, and there was comfortable seating in the reception area - all marble, mirrors and gold as usual in the UAE.

Check in took 30 minutes with utterly inept staff.
