  From the moment we checked in, we loved the setting, the amenities, and appreciated the staff. The houskeeping staff and office staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. My only "negative" comment was the the pool was on the chilly side.

  We had our wedding party stay at this location and also at Congress Hall. Our condo (3rd floor, one bedroom) was absolutely beautiful! Very clean, very comfortable and perfect location. When we returned from the first trip to the car, we saw the maids in the hallway again, with a look of horror on their faces. They spoke to each other in Spanish re: "telephono" and one of them retrieved our cell phone from the maid's cart and handed it to us. When we got in the room our wedding papers and cake were not where we left them and to top it off they helped themselves to some of our wedding cake! When I explained all of this to the front desk, they were not willing to make restitution right then, but were willing to 'work something out' for us on our next visit. All that is to say that the accommodations were wonderful but the service was sketchy.

  We passed the maids in the hallway and let them know that we were not ready for cleaning service and they nodded in acknowledgement.

• It was clean, the view was great, cleaning and Congress Hall staff were responsive and friendly.

  We rented a 1 bedroom/1bath unit facing the ocean. The resort is centrally located, the staff was friendly and very attentive. We booked the same suite for next August, BEFORE we checked out. This resort and Cape May, in general, are extremely family friendly.

  At lunch time, a staff member came by with a menu, she took our orders and within 20 minutes our lunches were delivered to us and the bill was charged to our room.

• Close to everything with a very helpful staff. Rooms are immaculate and luxurious. Great Stay excellent staff!

  The staff and housekeeping were very pleasant and thoroughly accommodating. Our third floor, two-bedroom suite with spacious dining/livingroom area was tastefully appointed and meticulously clean. And, what’s not to like about an endless supply of plush towels or the luxurious linens, comforters, and pillows on our “heavenly” beds. Space is at a premium in both bedrooms: the closet door opens against the king-size bed in the master bedroom and the full-size bed took up the entire second bedroom with no room for a dresser. The master bath walk-in shower was impressive, but the second bathroom was just adequate. The kitchen was minimally supplied but with good hotel-quality cookware, dishes, and glasses. They made good use of the pool, rec and fitness rooms. Most definitely a highlight is the complimentary beach service, use of the Congress Hall pool, and being perfectly located.

  Both were stocked with Aveda products, but we found the “Rosemary and Mint” irritated sensitive skin.

  We rented a one bedroom/one bath unit on the 1st floor for $300/night. The bathroom was super small and like others have said absolutely no shelves and the sink area didn't hold much. I wholeheartedly agree on the blinds - they don't hug the windows and the light (both the outside light at night and the sunlight in the morning) would stream right in, and the way the bed was positioned, it would hit you right in the eye! Loved the beach service - so nice not having to drag towels, chairs, etc. The location is great - right across the beach and near the arcade and not far from the Washington Street Mall. The staff at the front desk of the Sandpiper was not very enthusiastic about offering dinner suggestions and didn't seem all that excited to be working there. All in all, we had a great time - the Sandpiper was immaculate, service was good, great location and not having to lug beach equipment was wonderful.

  When we checked in, the bedroom smelled like smoke and there were sand flies all over the unit. Another contradiction: The first two days beach service was excellent. For example: ultra comfy bed with luxurious linens, two flat panel tvs, marble top everything, down sofa cushions. BUT the dishwasher (in this era of super-quiet ones) was loud to a distraction and so was the air conditioning.

  When I visited the front desk for check-in and information, it was staffed by a teen who seemed overwhelmed with work--phone ringing, and several guests with in person requests--and unable to prioritize. The maid service accidentally picked up my son's stuffed animal with the laundry. My husband called the front desk to check on it. The young woman said she would ask housekeeping about it.

  We loved the fact that they provided housekeeping daily and the place was very clean. We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was very nice with hardwood floors, marble, and stainless steel appliances.

  Well last month I took a trip back home (im now in South Florida) and stayed 2 nights out of 7 at the location. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were immaculate and the beach was as well. I high suggest the Sand Piper for a quiet weekend away!
