Sand Dunes Resort & Spa

Easy access to the beach and the location to sites will definately make me a return customer.

The hotel has a great location with easy access to the beach.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and moved us to a quieter location, still w/ the Sand Dunes part of the resort.

We met a couple of families from the NY/NJ/CT metro area who were staying for a week and I think they were resigned to make the best of it.

Her foot landed in the pool causing a large laceration and alot of bleeding.

Our one bedroom suite was decorated in the 70's and the couch/pull out bed definitely needed replaced or professionally cleaned.

On first glance, the suite itself looked fine -- a full kitchen, three bedrooms (2 with 2 double beds, 1 with a king), three baths, and a huge wraparound oceanview balcony (which we love).

We got a room with a king bed and pull-out sofa, the youngest kids slept their with their own TV.

Then you are in the living room area, that has an armoire with TV, a couch (I never checked to see if it really was a sofa bed), a table with two chairs, a coffee table, and an end table.

I'll keep it short and sweet: the rooms were dirty; the common areas were dirty; the staff was rude (all staff---housekeeping, bellmen, front desk personnel); the telephones were broken; the coffee pot was broken; the sofa bed was broken.

We spent $40 on pizza the first night, and the next morning we went to the restaurant for the breakfast bar.

Water Park and the new waterfront restaurant/bar Mango's Bay.

The icky bathrooms are located in a corridor in the restaurant/bar next door, which has a one foot thick layer of peanut shells surrounding the bar and is a kind of gross affair in itself.

I live in SC, and this hotel is the only place I have visited in a long, long time that still uses minibottles, which are far more expensive for the customer and more profitable for the bar or restaurant.

Breakfast was filling in the restaurant (buffet), they a lot of options.

He went down to the front desk and asked one of the staff how he contacted the concierge and they threw the phone at him.

The room was very clean, maid service was good (never had any shortages of TP/Towels) and for the most part the staff was very friendly.

Friendly and efficient staff at the front desk, the rooms are modern.

The elevators are HOT, breakfast buffet is very good and the pool is the best one on the Sands' property.

They have an indoor pool, but it was attached to the fitness club, very small, and not child-friendly.

The parking garage is across the parking lot from the lobby.

We were promised high speed internet, we only had dial up.

The cleaning staff was nice and they showed up everyday but we didn't always need them to clean our room spotless.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was very good.

The room was clean with the exception of a dark stain on the kitchen counter underneath the blender.

The room was very nice, pool were both clean.

The staff there was more than accomodating, our room was clean.
