San Juan Water & Beach Club Hotel Carolina

The location is great with other hotels and restaurants nearby and San Juan a $19 cab ride away.

The location provides easy access to many of the nearby attractions and the airport.

The location is great because it is next to best hotels/restaurants (the steakhouse at the ritz carlton is a must for any celebration-and so is the chocolate souffle).

On the up side, the airport is only a ten minute cab ride away.

First of all, you can't beat the location - it's only a 5 minute cab ride from the airport.

I paid about $220 per night incluiding taxes and fees for ocean view room, king size bed, cableTv, safe, mini bar, radio ipod ready, great room decor and lighting.

On our 2nd day there, we got back to the room around 1 and nothing had been done to the room, no fresh towels, bed unmade, nothing new and we needed to take showers.

The room smelled like dirty sweaty old sheets, which was exactly what was on the bed.

2) The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable.

The room was nice with a king size bed and a view of the ocean.

The restaurant in the lobby (Tangerine) is also very pricey (and they charge a lot for just the breakfast bar).

Also, there is a very down-home outdoor bar/restaurant right next door that is really cheap and has excellent food if you get tired of the chic atmosphere.

The roof top club and bar (WET) was definitely a hot spot to party and hang out, and the restaurant (Tangerine) had great food.

Bar on top of Water Club is great for a double gin, elevator: Cool concept Open elevator and the breakfast cheddar wrap is very good.

The strangely appointed furniture, a lovely bar and lots of local good restaurants.

The front desk, valet, housekeepers, and rooftop bar/restaurant service and staff were excellent.

You can order drinks and food from the staff and if you like there are sit down tables with waitress service.

Not very service oriented, front desk and reservations give you different answers to questions regarding reservations and billing- no one seems to have a clue.

The staff at the front desk were very accomodating, and upgraded our room to ocean view which was very nice, we got an excellent rate of $200 per night through Booked.net, well worth it.

There appears to be no service elevator so everyone, including housekeeping and room service is riding up and down in two tiny elevators along with guests--this makes for long waits.

Elevator: Cool concept Open elevator with blue lights but there are only two elevators that are unbelievably slow.

There was only one elevator working so there was quite a wait for a 12 story facility and there were black lights everywhere (in the halls, lobby, elevator, bar, even the rooms but you could turn those off).

As far as the room, it was impeccably clean and had everything we would need.

Helpful guys setting up lounges, truly thoughtful service and 2) The room was very clean.

We stayed on the 4th floor and the room was GREAT, CLEAN and a BEAUTIFUL View.

We really enjoyed it there, the rooms are a little cramped, but everything was nice and clean.

Management then offered to have someone clean up the mess but not change rooms.
