The location is bizarre but set on a nice beach, shared with Camels though.
The location on the beach is lovely although they don't show any photo's of the huge great port that is just to the right of the hotel or the cement works just down the road!
To do anything other than lie in the sun you have to run the gauntlet of toothless taxi drivers who will try every under-hand trick in the book to fleece you.
I stayed in Hilton Salalah 16 to 18 January and would like to comment as follow: The room was nice but internet connexion cable wss near the bed so it mean you have to seat on the bed to use your lab top which is not convenient.
So the hotel itself is excellent, especially bearing in mind how much you'll have to pay for a superior room (I paid £30 per night for a suite in mid May).
The hotel rooms are very pleasant indeed, the water is clean.
Rooms are very spacious, the food is fine.
The beds were comfortable and the restaurant was excellent.
The breakfast and different restaurants, specially the one near the coast are very good and very good barbique.
Supposedly hot food is cold in this buffet restaurant.
The food in the restaurant buffet is of good quality and the rooms are big and comfortable.
The food in the restaurant buffet is of good quality but, you have to repeatedly ask for staff to remove plates so that you can continue with your next course.
Ate breakfast both days we stayed there, and It was very good, good selection, custom made omelettes and pancakes and waffles.
The hotel has great service, heller fast schon beindruckender Lobby and cheerful and friendly pool staff.
The hotels facilities are fantastic and the service is far better at the Hilton.
Beach is quiet, so the hotel itself is excellent and the staff is very friendly.

As said by other reviewers it was fantastic hotel, with great garden and pool design.
The body massage on the beach side was truly fantastic, the area around the pool was clean and the hotel was situated out of town was fine.
In the night you can choose from swimming in the pool or set in the out side cafe and have some Shisha which very good.
Very large & modern rooms, spotlessly clean, great food (try the outdoor BBQ!
The Salalah Hilton is a great place to get away from all and the rooms is tidy.
The rooms is tidy , but the air condition is that much cold, may be i wasnt lucky with my roomm but it was always around 23c which is not that cold for me in counting the humidity out side.
