Well situated for walking around Rye and hotel is in an ideal location.
The central location and close to the Old Town of Rye.
Excellent location and we booked this hotel as was central.
Great location in the heart of the town and designed to reflect the character of Rye.
The location was superb and we had a lovely breakfast with very attentive staff.
10th, and as entering the hotel the place looked amazing, the stuff were very welcoming and helpfull, we was shown to our room which had everything we needed, huge bathroom, with lots of goodies for us to use, the bedroom was beautiful.
Bed comfortable, bathroom clean but nothing special.
The decoration consisted of pink lampshades, pink head boards on the bed, pink wallpaper, false white columns and fake French furniture.
Moreover the bed very comfortable and useful champagne bar.
Comfortable bed and good restaurant recommendations.
We did not eat dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was ok tho the tables are small and close together.
Knowledgeable of the area, car park within a beautiful town and walking distance to all the shops / restaurants.
Did not have evening meals there because we did not want to be tied down to time but the breakfast was very good.
Recommend the Lemon Grass Thai restaurant and superior ploughmans lunch at the Hope and Anchor.
In addition hotel is very comfortable and excellent range of restaurants within close walking distance.
The hotel staff were absolutely amazing, the service was excellent.
We felt that the hotel staff were exceptional in giving a personal touch to everything, the gentleman on reception was great.
No problem with the service provided by the staff at check in/out and at breakfast, which was good.
View not great, welcoming hotel and the staff were friendly and efficient.
We went to use the pool, but it was freezing, the spa bath was lukewarm, and the light in the sauna had blown, so we immediately got changed.
Pool, and the Sauna was good, didn't like the garden chair in the 'Gas Chamber' though, oh sorry Steam Room.
There's also a jacuzzi (not too warm but pleasant enough), and a small steam room and a sauna (didn't use these).
We had a superior room which was very comfortable and clean.
We were about to leave, but then the acting manager found us another, clean, room, with a good mattress, and said they would try to rectify everything else.
Room was clean, but very dated and smelt of bleach/chlorine.
