Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown - 女皇镇

Noisy due to being located at the back and hotel is in a great location.

The location of this hotel is great, 5 minutes walk to the town along the lake and far enough out that there is no noise.

I would not book again despite the excellent location and views.

The location is perfect as it's only about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Queenstown.

The location was good and the hotel definitely looked beautiful, was a pleasant trip upon arrival from long drive.

Suite was comfortably large with a king size bed in the one room and a sofa bed for our 10 year old son in the lounge.

The suite was fine with separate bedroom and living room and reasonable bathroom, though I hate flimsy shower curtains, and there was no shower gel or body lotion (unlike Rydges Christchurch) which seemed a petty meanness.

The bar area, pool and jacuzzi is all really nice and the breakfast and snacks that we had at the hotel were very nice.

Reception were very helpful and suggested that by spending 5 minutes registering with Rydges we would save 20% off the nightly room rate, meals and drinks at the bar - this we did.

Ate at the hotel restaurant one night-very pricey and extremely small servings.

The breakfast was really great, everything you could wish for and in a very pleasant dining room.

Breakfast was dull and the hot food, for which an extra charge was made, was not up to much with soggy bacon and rather watery scrambled egg, and there was no ham or cheese in the continental selection.

The staff - someone from room service told me mid order that they didnt have time and hung up on me - nothing was done about this - even after a written complaint to the manager - in fact the receptionist giggled and said ' how rude, hee hee hee'.

Also the friendly reception desk staff, good showers and playing pool in the bar during happy hour.

The views from our room were wonderful and the reception staff were very friendly.

The office staff were awesome, receptionist was helpful and were able to move us to another room we were dissatisified.

The pool is heated though and the spa was a welcome relief after bungy and jumping of cliffs.

We had to wait 30 mins till we got the lift as a tour arrived just before we got there (they only have 2 small sized lifts).

Didn't cost too much, nice lobby area and handy to town and clean.

Great views, friendly staff and the room was very clean & comfortable.

The room smelt heavily of smoke and was not very clean.

The room was spotlessly clean and very spacious, with all the expected amenities.

Room was spacious and clean with a patio doors to a communal deck overlooking the lake.

I'd rate it 2-3* Room was clean though and the view of the lake great.
