On the bright side, we did manage to move to one of the rooms on a higher floor (which was brighter and opened onto a terrace) and the location of the hotel is great.

In a great location to the CBD, beautiful place and we received perfect service from everyone we encountered.

I felt this was the best selection for our criteria ie quiet location, hotel was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.

There is a tram stop right out the front with trams stopping very regularly.

Jump on the tram and 5 minutes later you're in the heart of the city, or go the other way and you're at St Kilda beach.

It was next to the conference room and apparently they fold the bed away into a cupboard and use the rooms for meetings!

The King sized bed was two single beds pushed together, and the resultant gap between did not facilitate comfort.

NIce bar, the restaurant had a very good breakfast.

We had room service which was far better than any other I have had (room service is usually pretty poor) and breakfast in DISH was truly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had.

Breakfast (in Dish restaurant) was included and was really good.

The only saving grace of our entire experience was the breakfast at Dish restaurant the following morning.

Because of this only 1 lift is working in the entire hotel.

Sure, the website looks all nice and eclectic, and from the outside and in the lobby the place looks great.

Hotel staff were welcoming and professional, my room was very clean.

The rooms are pleasant enough, quite new, modern and I've always found them to be clean.

The room is clean, great work desk and free drink on arrival completed for me as I am a night cap person.

The final straw on the camels back was when housekeeping managed to clean our room in the morning and leave our room door wide open until we returned (about 5pm) with all of our valuables (laptops/ jewelry etc) exposed to all.
