Royal Terrace Hotel Edinburgh - 爱丁堡

The Hotel is situated in a brilliant location and is close to shops, bars and everything else that Edinburgh has to offer.

Good location and hotel just located on calton hill has nice view.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the centre.

On the phone the hotel told us that the hotel was near to the airport shuttle bus stop, however, it is more like a 10 minutes walk but not to bad.

After 24 hours of travel to the Edinburgh airport you get a bus to the city center and a cab to the hotel.

The room was traditionally decorated with a canopied bed and a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom, if it wasn't refurbished, it was still very nice and good value for money at £38 a night each including a cooked breakfast.

It seemed small in comparison with the beds in other rooms, and when we lay down it became obvious that it was basically a large single bed masquerading as a double.

Unfortunately the room was not so good: dirty windows, loose fittings in the bathroom, light bulbs blown, no spare blankets in the room, gaps round the bath (didn't like to think where the shower water was going - we were on the second floor!

The wall below our bed was covered in scratch marks and looked unsightly, the windows didn't open and the view out of the window was of old baths and rubbish.

The bedrooms were large with lovey en-suit bathrooms some with Jaccuzzi baths.

Restaurant newly reopened, good menu, food well prepared, breakfast typical full breakfast, plentiful.

The hotel was well situated, 5 minutes from the Omni cinema/restaurant complex with a whole host of other restaurants and bars nearby and about another 5 minutes on to Princes St.

The standard of service was poor both at the bar and especially during breakfast, but very helpful at reception.

The bar is very small, and if you select bar food, there is a fair chance that you will have to eat in the entrance lobby where, in winter freezing air will waft in each time the front door is opened.

One morning we were seated in the Restaurant upstairs which was much better and should be utilised for breakfasts regularly, albeit it only holds a small number of tables.

Friendly staff and the efficiency of the services eg room service was excellent.

Near to the centre, good atmosphere and excellent service from the staff both in reception.

Most of the staff who work in the restaurant or front desk have difficulty in understanding fluent english but this does not prevent them from trying to provide a good service.

Service was efficent and friendly in reception and in the restaurant, and The food in the restaurant was brilliant!

The pool is nice and there is a steam room, sauna and gym which were empty all weekend.

I had also been impressed on-line by the "facilties" the hotel offered, swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna etc.

The swimming pool and gym facility was very small.

However it was spotless and the bathroom was very clean and modern.

On first sight it didn't seem too bad, the room was clean, decor looked fresh and fitted in with the style of the building.

The rooms were lovely and clean and a nice size for us and our children (teenage girl 7 year old boy).

The room itself was clean and the decor and soft furnishings were good.

The best of this hotel was was central to Edinburgh, the staff were helpful and room was comfortable and clean.
