  Its not in Pattaya center, but between Pattaya and Nuklua. Its quait place if you want silence from Pattaya. They had a shuttle bus to Pattaya Big C 3 times per day.

  The hotel is good, but breakfast is not good. The odd thing is: when we need a taxi (taxi in pattaya is more like tuk tuk, not a real taxi as we usually know) to go to Mini Siam. She said, it is more safe for us, if we let her call the taxi, than to stop the taxi by ourselves by the street. So, she said, the taxi will cost us 300 THB one way to Mini Siam and we have to pay through her instead to the taxi driver. After we got down at Mini Siam, we asked the taxi driver, if he can pick us again and take us back to the hotel after we have finished at Mini Siam.

  The reception staff, offer us to help us to call a taxi. So, the question is: why do we have to pay much more expensive to the hotel's staff?

  They showed us to a room just off the reception on the ground floor and I think the girls could tell from our faces that we weren't happy with where we were put. Without us saying anything one of the girls returned to our room and said she will upgrade us to a room by the pool. The room was beautiful and overlooked the lovely pool area. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you needed. Flat screen tv's are provided with a good selection of channels.

  We stayed for 3 days at the hotel and we got an excellent service. The room was very clean and decor too was very in keeping with the thai culture which I especially liked. Its an excellent hotel for kids with a swimming pool area for babies and kids. The breakfast buffet served was very good catering to western, chinese and even indian tastes. The hotel is not too far from the heart of the town at all , just 10 mins away by the bus or taxi.

  I had to complain to the manager and after a long wait was changed to another room near the pool which was decent and comfortable.

  Firstly I was put in room which didnt have safe, a cupboard with broken door, full of musquitoes, AC not working. I will only suggest not to leave any valuable in the room otherwise the hotel is OK.

  The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood with the beach around the corner and walking distance to everything else you need - bars, restaurants, the shopping district and all other facilities you can think of. The rooms are very clean, luxurious and spacious and furnished with style and class - flat screen TV, electronic safe and a mini bar - the pool area is located just outside the door. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet had everything you can whish for.

  Thanks to all all the staff at Royal Orchid Resort for making our trip to Pattaya a little bit extra. Our room was nice and tidy. The breakfast were excellent.

  The hotel is in a quiet area, is modern and clean. The room was very spacious, with a view of the parking lot. We enjoyed breakfasts on the tranquil patio. The pool was very nice, but had competition from the ocean where the surf is quiet enough for even me to swim. This area of Pattaya seems to be the home of a large German community, which is nice as they keep the beach immaculate, but presents a problem as the restaurants on Naklua Road cater to their tastes, even to menus displayed in German. Orchid was a good place for a quiet vacation.

• Nice lobby, dining and pool area (although the dining was quite expensive compared to resturants on the same road and on the main street). Cleaning: Good frequency of changing towels and cleaned up room daily. Cleaning staff, security and some reception staff: Quite friendly. Proper cable tv and lots of english channels, including good movie channel. Just one last word though, although i went to Pattaya with my partner, its more a place for single men as rent-a-girls and lady boys are everywhere, therefore not the best place for a romantic getaway or for a family. Food is cheap & you can pick up some good bargins shopping wise.

  We told reception about this the next day (the same lady who we dealt with at check-in) and she didn't seem bothered and did nothing. Water: Did not always supply the 2 complimentry bottles of water everyday to rooms, which is part of the deal and needed in such hot weather.
