Prices for things in the hotel are expensive by any standard.
The Royal Barriere has a fabulous location, right next to the Casino de Deauville and a two minute walk to the beach.

A stay at the Royal Barriere is not for someone on a limited budget but overall I thought it was acceptable value given its location, clientele etc.
Good location, nice stuff and quick service without being pretentious.
The location reminded us of the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, CA, except the Royal Barriere is more glamorous and more expensive.
The rooms are large, with comfortable beds, great flat-screen TVs, and shades that completely black out the room.
When they wheeled in the extra bed, there was absolutely no space in the room at all.
Greeted by a very friendly receptionist who took us up to our room which was nothing special, despite the price, although the bed was huge.
The room and surroundings were gorgeous, as were the public rooms, including the lobby and main dining room.
The large, elegant bathroom had a seperate shower and bathtub, and a bidet (which went unused due to a lack of knowledge of what to do with it!
Eating and drinking in the hotel is expensive, but like others we found that La Flambee restaurant is an excellent place just down the road.
I've eaten at plenty of top class restaurants in London and elsewhere and this was more than a little bit over the top.

Moreover the reception was wonderful and the food was very good.

Additionally the lobby was gorgeous, the staff were great and the concierges were extremely knowledgeable.
Our stay was very nice and staff was really friendly and efficient.
The gym is the size of a sauna and the sauna is the size of phone box, The room service overnight is efficient but limited and don, t use the Blanchissrie, laundry to you and me, they will discoulor and shrink your clothes.
The swimming pool was heated to a good temperature on the sunny days.
In the main hall off the lobby, there are framed photos of Hollywood celebrities who have been previous guests.
