Entering the hotel Room Mate Mario, you get the feeling you’re entering a nightclub. Staff are dressed all in black. There are black walls and swirls of red lighting in the lobby. The rooms are large, with high ceilings and simple furniture, light tones contrasting with muted colors and dark surfaces. Some of the rooms are white; others have splashes of colors with funky murals. This was the first in the Room Mate chain to open. Mario prides itself on being “intimate, elegant and serene”.

The lobby is smart and the room safe is free of charge and the air conditioning is great.
The shower was pretty good and breakfast was great value.
The window to a small street in the centre of town and the design / decoration, friendly reception, the room was nice and clean.
