Romantik Hotel Markusturm Rothenburg

The location was great, close to all the attractions.

Charming place, great location (town center).

The location couldn't be better for accessing all the sights of Rothenburg.

Centrally located in Rothenburg and walking distance (probably around 10-15 minutes) from the train station.

From the train station turn left and walk down to the first set of lights then turn right and go straight to the town gates and onward directly to the hotel.

Had a lovely queen sized bed in a lovely room on the scond floor overlooking a courtyard with separate bathroom with shower.

We had a wood canopy bed made in the 1700's and the bathroom was a glass marble beautiful piece of work where you could spend the whole day!

We are a family of two adults and two children and we had a queen bed with two twin/sofa beds for the kids.

Our room was very quiet and cozy, with a gorgeous canopy bed.

The restaurant provide great meals - we had both breakfast.

Breakfast was a reasonable selection and dinner in the hotel's restaurant was pretty good without being particularly special.

We ate twice at the restaurant attached to the "Hotel Eisnenhut" as they had outdoor seating, great food and "iced tea" that wasn't from a bottle and they didn't spare the ice.

The rooms were spacious and the food in the restaurant was also very good.

The room very romantic, good breakfast and food was excellent especially dinner.

The staff, (front desk, kitchen, room service, maids, dining room) may be the best trained I have ever experienced.

Now I will say that the reception staff were really very accommodating and did find another room for us.

But the true distinction is the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff.

Very convenient for getting around all the sites, friendly stuff and the staff was wonderful from Owner to chamber maids.

Free parking, you will not need your car while in the city.

The Romantik's parking lot is private and we had no problems with our car being there.

Great spot, enough parking, however I do wonder where everyone's cars were.

The beds are comfy and softly clean (not the starched industrial feel so many hotels have) and the included breakfast was always fresh, with a great selection.

The rooms are very clean and each is unique.

The young staff are very efficient and the bathrooms are clean and modern.

The staff is great, the owners are helpful and kind, room is clear and comfortable.

Staff is very kind, friendly owners speak good English and rooms are spacious and clean.
