Considering this is listed as a facility of the hotel and "included" in the price I would have expected advanced warning and maybe an appology.
Overall if the price was right I would stay here again due to the high customer service standards - it just seems that it is let down by the overall management/running of the hotel.
There is also no toothbrush supplied and no razors, which I though was true to the brand value of "cheap" which is portrayed everywhere in this hotel.
As far as the location is concerned, the hotel is in a fairly obscure spot away from shops but close to some sleazy bars.
Good location, hotel staffs were friendly and helpful, the room was always clean.
Were it not for its location, the hotel would score better marks from me.
There is a small, secure, underground car park, which must be booked in advance.
On a corner of the square city center area, but with enough bus stops including the free circle line.
I chose the Rockford because of the hipster-looking photos on their website and spent three nights there: 2 in their "deluxe room" (nicer bed and robes) and 1 night in their standard room (rough bed, no robes, intermittent hot water).
Reception provided a short telephone cable that could be used at the other point but that meant balancing the laptop on the knees while seated on the bed.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the buffet breakfast was fantastic.
Good value for money, the interior designer deserves a reward because looks amazing and the bed linen is cheap.
The bathroom was also large, with a deep spa bath.
On the positive side, room decor is pleasant and the Blue restaurant serves nice food at reasonable prices.

Lift has no up/down button so you often end up going up when you want to go down.
Specifically booked a hotel with a pool in case it was hot.
