Best bakery nearby Jan's and the location is convenient for the new business district.
The upside of the location is that you can look at whatever new mirror-glass wonder has been built since you last visited.
The downside of the location is that (like many places in Astana) it is surrounded by construction sites - over the two days I was there the pile-driver on the construction site next door started at 8am and kept going most of the day.
It is in a very convenient location, close to airport and the new administrative center.
The food in the city is cheaper and better, the location of the hotel is good, the spa services are nice.

The rooms are spacious, bars are quite nice too and the food in the restaurant is awesome.
Comfortable warm beds and staff was great so was the food in the restaurant.
There's free internet and has a fantastic restaurant.
The breakfast buffet was very good, and if having your cereal whilst been serenaded by a harp player is your idea of a good time then the Rixos President is the place for you.

Additionally best hotel in Peshawar and the lobby is shiny fresh and clean.
They should stop spending money on the the harp player and the odd lady in a pointy hat offering you snacks in the lobby, and concentrate on those boring things that make a stay worthwhile.
