It was super cheap, and way better than what one would expect for that price: they had unlimited free tee and coffee (basic cooking ingredients were also free), rooms were comfortable (there were sofas and a table, the room was bright), the free internet worked reasonably well, the staff was very nice and helpful. Also, great location (u-bahn station and supermarkets just before the front door, Tempelhof within walking distance - great place for sport).
It was a bit run-down (doorbell was broken and one hat to hit a pot hanged above the door to get in, shower cabins doors were broken). It was bearable and to be expected for the price, so no complaints there.

Nothing much. It was located next to an underground station, staff was quite friendly
Old, many things not working like the wifi, the water in the shower going from cold to hot an never giving the right temperature, lift in the staircase not working all the time (walking up 5 floors at night in the dark is not nice), it is veeeeery far out from city center (like 30 minutes by underground)... And at the end it was quite expensive for what we paid!

Good location, friendly personnel, warm atmosphere - i will definetly come back there again!
I was not always lucky to have hot water during showering.

Place is directly next to the U-bahn station, wich can bring you all over town! The bikes we rented were very decent.
The girls at the reception on friday where very friendly, though their male-collegue (chef?) was quiet grumpy and rude.

Situated at the eastern Berlin, the metro station is just nearby. It is very convenient to do sightseeing of the communism Berlin before 1980s. I suggest those who are interested in eastern Germany to live here for three days in comparison with the western Berlin totally differently.
For no reasons at all, it's noisy at midnight.

The staff were super friendly, the hostel cultivates a rich multicultural, open and liberal atmosphere, the shaded yard is excellent for late night socializing, it's in the middle of Neukolln, which is a colourful and interesting quarter of Berlin. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely go there again on my next stay in the city.

I got much more for the little money i paid, the staff are extremely friendly and social. The hostel is very close to the u-bahn station so it is easy to get around Berlin from there. This place is great if you wanna meet new people from around the world. I will definitely come back. This hostel is real great for the value of money you pay ...
The room got a little too hot to stay during the day at summer time, i think the mangement should think of providing some fans.

I liked some of the staff, it does have a nice communal atmosphere and despite the look of the place around it. Neukolln is a great area.
Some of the staff were unhelpful and a bit rude, its not a very nice place and is quite seedy if you are to stay there get a single room by yourself because it feels dodgy.

I only stayed for 2 nights because of the other girlls in my room, otherwise I would have just moved from this hostel.
Since I got there all the receptionists were not kind, not polite and didn't like to answer questions, made bad faces when I asked to see the room, in general had really bad attitudes. It doesn't matter if it's cheap or not, I want to see the place I'm going to sleep first. Actually it was the only hostel I asked to do this before, since I had already read so many negative reviews about this place. One even told in front of me that there were too many stupid guests after one guy went into the reception and asked her about the internet that was not working in his room. This was one of the main problems by the way. Forget using internet in this hostel, you should go to Mc Donalds or somewhere else since this patetic web falls every 20 minutes, then you have to register, put your login and password over and over again and if you're lucky enough then it will work. It happened to me and all the girls in my room and we were 10 people really upset about never being able to connect properly. For the quantity of rooms the kitchen is really small with too few cuttlery as well. I don't recommend this hostel even for my worst enemy, it's the worst one I stayed in whole Europe in one of the biggest cities I've ever been so far.

Internet in the rooms instead of just the lobby/common rooms
Everything was a little old and dirty (not too much though)

This is just your basic backpacker hostel, no bells and whistles. Very nice staff, and a lot of restaurants, shops, and transit options nearby.
