Rivoli Jardin Hotel Helsinki - 赫尔辛基

Breakfast as the location is great - just 5 minutes from the centre of Helsinki and the place might have been a cosy.

The location also couldn't be beaten, and most places were within an easy walk.

Apartments are on a quiet street only a few steps from Esplanade Park, and from there less than 5 minutes to the harbour area and Market Square - it is a perfect location.

Very good location, nice small family hotel and staff was kind and helpful.

As it was end of July and begining of August I spotted the beer tram doing the rounds of the city which was worth a visit.

The room was comfortable, well supplied with good quality towels and bed linen.

We had 2 big bedrooms, a living room with TV and DVD, a very nice kitchen with brand new fridgefreezer and dishwasher and shower/wetroom.

Our room was very modern if a little bland, but the beds and the bedding were great; the breakfast just fabulous and they served the Best coffee we ever had in Europe.

Although the Rivoli Jardin Hotel apartments are typically rented by the week/month we made a last minute booking for three nights and found it a wonderful arrangement in their two bedroom unit for our family of four.

Our apartment was adequate for everything we Brits needed but American visitors would probably find the bathroom too compact.

The breakfasts were really good and although there was a constant flow of people in the dining room, the staff constantly replaced he food and drink consumed.

We only ate out once at a Tex-Mex restaurant nearby - excellent food and nice atmosphere.

There are several restaurants near by and also a medium sized food supermarket.

The staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to provide you with anything you wish - even to the extent that when returning from the ballet late-ish one evening, we were treated to free tea and coffee in Reception!

It is a rather Stalinist 1950s building obviously put up in the garden of a fine art-nouveau house, which is now some sort of club.
