Within walking distance of many resturants, hotel staff very helpfull good breakfast good value for money and the bed was really comfortable.
After a long drive my wife, is closing down so i will be unable to rebook this hotel again and the price is good as well.
The location by the river was pleasant, well the room's door was right on the main road and a warm welcome was received.
The staff were really friendly and the bed was large and comfortable.
The final straw for us was the sticker saying 'DO NOT USE' in big red letters on the plug for one of the bed-side lamps.
The hotel is clean and bright, the bathroom needed to be steamed cleaned not to mention the toilet brush.
Rooms were very comfortable, the towels were clean and soft, the food was great.
Our room had large amounts of damp on one wall and the furniture had definitely all seen better days.
Breakfast the next morning was also good.

My partner and I booked this hotel so we could go to Ladies Day at Newmarket, the Garden Cottages sounded lovely on the web-site we used to book, but they are in fact the last resort for the hotel when the main house is full.
