Excellent location and a very nice place.
Great location for touring Ferrara, our stay at the Ripagrande was a nice one and the building itself was elegant.
The layout of our standard room was a bit unusual - three levels, including an entryway with wardrobe (this is the level the bathroom was on), a main area with a table, sofa and TV, and bed on the top level.
The Hotel Ripagrande provided us with a beautiful 3 level room and a glamorous bath with tiles by Valentino.
The Hotel Ripagrande was the perfect place for us to experience Ferrara, the staff was pleasant and helpful, room was very spacious on three levels and quiet.
The rooms were large and well appointed, the service excellent.
Hotel set in a splendid old building and the rooms are very nice and comfortable.
There is also a first class restaurant across the street, for variety, and others within walking distance.
There is a very nice-looking interior courtyard; it was a bit cool when we were there, but I imagine breakfast is served in the courtyard during the warmer months.
Also, no one orientated us to the city, hotel, hours of breakfast etc.
When we asked about a restaurant for dinner, the one suggested out of two choices was the furthest from one end of the city to the next.
No one ever told us that we had to take a long cab ride there and only discoverd it when walking the city and trying to find the restaurant.
Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the building itself was elegant and architecturally attractive.
The worst thing (putting all that aside )was the rude and unhelpful staff and lack or anyone around.
Parking is on a nearby street, using a 24-hour pass provided by the hotel.
Even arriving back in Ferrara late on a Saturday night, we were able to find parking.
