The hotel is OK, but is frankly overpriced for what it is.

Overall a nice old character country hotel situated in lovely grounds in a good location for exploring the peak district.

Well worth the two hour drive perfect location and the hotel.

Good location for visiting the Peak District.

The location was lovely, the main hotel rooms breakfast etc were good and the staff were all excellent very.

The room size was adequate with comfy bed, TV, tea/coffee facilities & trouser press.

Room service is very average and while the rooms are comfortable, some with Jacuzzi baths - many things just don't work.

A big luxury bathroom you could not get a better hotel in the area its perfect thank you and you can even pre-order room.

We were offered a great rate for dinner, bed and breakfast.

We booked Dinner Bed & Breakfast and found it excellent value for a 3 star hotel.

Breakfasts and evening meals were very good and restaurant staff very willing to please.

Bar meal was excellent and dinner was lovely.

Probably a blessing after eating all the cooked breakfasts and 3 course dinners!

Do try the restaurant; the food is fresh, exciting and in such a lovely setting.

The service was great, breakfast was the best English breakfast we have ever had.

Could not fault the hotel, the service or the staff.

All in all, the staff were friendly (especially at the front desk), BUT the hotel is just in need of refurbishment - it just needs £1m spent on it.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel (to a welcome party of the manager & some staff.

Service was excellent and the carol singer whilst we had our evening meal was a very nice touch.

Added bonus swimming pool and gym but check closing times and activities first.

The booking of a slit for dinner works well, swimming pool facilities are an excellent add on.

As this is a grade II listed building, they do not have a lift.

Room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant was great, waiters was really polite.

We stayed overnight in a spacious, clean, well equipped room,and then had a delicious breakfast to top it all.

    Pool area was good, the hotel was very clean as was the bedroom and there were plenty of staff were very helpful. Room was lovely, breakfast was nice and dinner was well presented and enjoyable. The gardens were pleasant.

    Well worth the two hour drive perfect location and the hotel is just a few mins away from the Peak District we’ve been trekking. Ringwood has a nice country house feel and very good standard of decoration showing attention to detail. The rooms are luxurious and ample and wide range of breakfast items.

    Very hard uncomfortable pillows detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience and no appointments available for whole three days at spa so dont go expecting to be able to use this facility.

    A very good welcome, really nice staff and then they would escort you upstairs to a private dining room. The booking of a slit for dinner works well, swimming pool facilities are an excellent add on.
