The place is fairly clean and incredibly beautiful. Rooms are good sized with roll-top bath, a double bed and the finest linen, food is great. The location is magnificent, the staff is excellent friendly. When I am in Freiburg im Breisgau, I like staying here...

The location was favourable, you can visit Basler Hof by walking. This hotel was in a really beautiful area not far from all main sightseeing attractions, the highlights of Freiburg, and the very nice old town.

The breakfast was exceptionally good and incredible. The location is amazing and very central, right next to several restaurants and various activities. The people were lovely and friendly, and the place was fairly clean.

Very historic and quirky hotel located in a pedestrian area really close to the town centre as well as city center.

Breakfast here was amazing, with homemade breads and delicious freshly brewed coffee and cakes. It totally blew us away! 🥐🍰

Centrally located, excellent shopping and restaurants within walking distance, short walk to train station, spacious deluxe double room, comfortable bed, upgraded bathroom with large walk-in shower.

Nothing that I didn't like.

Right in the old city of Freiburg. Very nice rooms opening onto a courtyard. Parking at the hotel requires a bit of bravery in terms of ignoring all of the Pedestrian zone signs and driving right into the old city.

The staff were friendly, but not all adequately trained. The TV was old, slightly broken and very fiddly even compared to other hotel TVs! Otherwise it was perfectly OK though.

I highly recommend this place to everyone as it has a special atmosphere and serves a very good breakfast.

We arrived at midnight because of train delays. We phoned to say we were late. However, we arrived the hotel was closed! Nobody was answering. I called the number on the reservation and owner answered. I had to talk and beg him not to leave us in the street and come to open up. He refused because he said he was in bed. After 15 minutes of begging and explaining that it had not been our mistake and that we had warned that we were late, agreed to come to open. In the following days we saw that the reception person was covering several functions, so the reception was alone for a long time. wifi signal was impossible to use anywhere. telephone communication with the reception is very difficult. During the night there is no one left in the hotel except the guests. I wouldn't recommend this place.
