We liked everything! The hotel is on the top of the mountain, nothing but the Gondola nearby ( and you can't be bothered by the Gondola!), our room looking to the mountain, a very peaceful landscape. The staff is excellent, they do their best to makeall your needs satisfied. The concierges were great, with many excellent suggestions of sightseeing and everything you need to have a perfect stay at the hotel and in Banff and surroundings. The room is very comfy as well, and the Primrose restaurant has a very good food for a fair price. We didn't have dinner at the other restaurant, but it certainly might be as good as Primrose (or better!). We strongly recommend this hotel if you want a perfect stay in Banff.

i liked the restaurants. The underground parking and the atmosphere of the hotel.

The carpets were in pretty rough shape with stains in our room. The kids running up and down the hall ways outsid our room did take a bit from the romantic weekend we had planned.

Liked the location and views of the mountains from the main lobby area.

Just did the think it was great value for the money. The restaurant was not affordable and everything was super expensive.

Hotel could use a bit of a facelift, it's pretty outdated. Don't provide a lot of amentities, everything needs to be asked for. Staff isn't very helpful (although concierge was good)

Location and it is a very nice hotel.

I will not believe that I am the first to complain about this, but the pillows in the room were like sleeping with your head on a cement pad. Where did you get these from? Because of the pillows we had a terrible sleep. My wife actually got up a 3:00am and asked the front desk if there was any pillows in the hotel outside of those in the room. She was told what you have is all that is available. Too bad something like a pillow can make the difference of what could have been a memorable stay.

We had a fantastic view from our room of Bow valley and Mountains afar.Enjoyed Larkspur lounge for informal meals and drinks.Service from staff was good in all areas.Concierge was helpful and valet parking efficient and cost was justified on balance.Coffee shop was good for quick cheap breakfast eg coffee and croissant.

The bathroom was very small and a little dated in the room not special or luxurious in any way . The main room needed more storage in it.

The staff are very well trained, pleasant, and helpful. They accommodated a special request regarding a meal item, without charging extra.

I found our bed to be rather hard.

the hot springs across the road and the guy who met us when we pulled up in the car

pool was cold, Jacuzzi is supposed to have jets of water and didn’t, room was freezing cold, no towels on arrival and when room was cleaned we had to call again for towels, no advise given on parking when booking so thought it was free, server at the lounge area passed us 5 times without even acknowledging us I had to go to the bar and ask to be served. Overall I would never return and most definitely recommend you

I really liked the architecture of the Rimrock. It was older, yet magnificent, designed to catch the view of Rundle Mountain. I loved the tall windows (no draft) and the deep chairs set out for two in the dining area. The dark trim was generous and the central fireplace massive. I also enjoyed the Christmas decor before it was taken down. In our bedroom I enjoyed the high ceilings and ceiling to floor drapes every time I entered the room. Service was great too.

The skating with our son, the huge gingerbread house by the front entrance and the beautiful views from the lounge and from our room. It was perfect.

There were some annoying guests who we didn't much like seeing. We managed to ignore them.

I have stayed at the Rimrock before and will do so again. It is one of my favourite hotels, the rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I believe a fair value for the level of services provided.

Complaining about paying $15/day for self-parking a car seems a little ridiculous when compared to a $200/night room but at the same time the extra charge doesn't seem necessary.
