The beautiful location of this rural hotel Rimrock Resort, next to a mountain, is in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. All of the views are amazing, the rooms are lavish, the service is great, and the food is excellent. The caribou and bison have been highly praised. The closeness to the Banff Gondola, Hot Springs, and ski resorts was appreciated.

The chocolate on your pillow turn down service is nice too, the Primrose restaurant has a very good food for a fair price.
A beautiful mountain view and easy free bus ride into downtown Banff for shopping.
Just charge a fee and the lobby/lounge area was very nice romantic.

Banff city center is 10 minutes away walking from the hotel. Banff National Park is 2 minutes away. Keep on walking further for about 15 minutes you will find Cave and Basin National Historic site and Whyte Museum of Canadian Rockies.

Getting there

Calgary International Airport is located 145km (one hour and half drive) away from the Rimrock Resort Hotel. There is coach service to Banff and car rental at the airport.

Otherwise, if you drive your car, take Barlow Trail and turn left at the Country Hills Boulevard. Turn left onto Stoney Trail then right onto Highway 1 and drive it west direction Banff National Park. Take the Banff, Lake Minnewanka exit and head leftwards at the stop sign onto Banff Avenue. Keep on driving through the town, cross the Bow River bridge and at the “T” intersection turn left. Continue right onto Mountain Avenue and after five minutes you will see the Rimrock Resort Hotel on your left.

Getting around

Banff railway station is located 15 minutes away from the hotel, while city buses run their routes all across the town from the bus stop opposite to the setting. On-site parking is available (reservation might be needed) for CAD 13.00 per day

Lovely views at the river, great atmosphere and i liked the bar near the lobby the best. Staff very helpful especially concierge and beautiful room. We loved peter the piano player, the food amazing and an Excellent Choice. The pool was adequate.
