The hotel's decoration is charming and inviting, with cozy seating areas perfect for relaxing. The general areas are well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people. I appreciated the easy navigation and comfortable seating throughout the hotel.

I would have appreciated more assistance from the children working there with carrying my luggage.

Room with 'river-view' on the town side is a bit noisy if you like to sleep with an open window. Lots of people use the footbridge that connects to the new shopping/restaurant centre near the hotel.

The hotel is very well situated and the staff very helpful.The breakfast is outstanding , and is the best that I have had of any hotel in Norway,The only thing that I missed was a coffee maker in the room.

I stayed at Scandic for a weekend getaway and it was fantastic. The hotel's location in the center of the city was perfect, with lively restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The staff were incredibly helpful and made me feel welcomed throughout my stay. The highlight was the incredible breakfast spread, with fresh juices, a variety of fish and meats, and an assortment of delicious food options. Additionally, I loved that the hotel offered bikes for guests to use, making it easy to explore Trondheim.

Totally recommend this hotel.

staff wasnot always helpful, very loud room

The rooms at Scandic Nidelven are super cozy and comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep. I loved the free WiFi and the spacious desk, which made it easy for me to catch up on some work during my stay. The bathroom was amazing, with a refreshing shower and luxurious FACE Stockholm products. I felt pampered! Having a minibar and a kettle with coffee/tea in the room was so convenient, it made me feel right at home.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the central air conditioning. I prefer to control the temperature myself.

The receptionist did not explain correct about places we asked about and rate of exchange from Euro to Krohn was very law and was not clear

I asked for buisness room,high floor with view,twin room. and i got a room in the 2 floor ,view nothing, they said theyhavnt.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The check-in process was absolutely seamless, thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. My room was impeccably clean and offered a stunning view of the river. I must say, the breakfast was truly a highlight of my stay. It surpassed my expectations with its incredible variety and delicious offerings. The bar and restaurant also provided great dining options. While there were a few small details that could have been improved, such as the absence of slippers in the room, overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Neat and fantastic hotel with nice view of the harbor. Helpful and really helpful staff onsite. Absolutely perfect and excellent location, just a short stroll away from Torvet Town Square. Good restaurant and excellent meal.

Scandic Nidelven was great value for money, with clean rooms and a stunning location by the river. The staff were helpful and cooperative, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The only improvement needed for breakfast was the menu for breakfast.

The superior breakfast buffet and friendly, good service troughout. The hotel has easy access, on foot, to all the sights, good shopping and restaurants.

Very good location, 5mins near the flybussen we were going to take to the airport next morning, and close to solsiden (a lovely strip of restaurants and bars). We chose the Rica because the others we researched into were nearly just as expensive and didnt come with a fantastic breakfast and reputation. Once we arrived and got into our standard room it was quite small, so we upgraded to the deluxe, it had its own fresh coffee machine and an incredible view. It was worth the kr.300 (£35) extra, and very easy to do. The following morning we arrived to breafast dead on 7am and the restaurant was already filling. I recommend giving yourself a good hour to fully enjoy the breakfast service. There is a huge choice, continous fresh coffee and they come around with fresh shots of fruit energy drinks too. The hotel is full of little surprises and nice touches, which made it a lovely place to stay.

They were minor flaws in the delux room which I didnt expect, like a dirty coffee mug and the net curtain railing slowly breaking off.
