We liked the older style and comfort

The view was great. The nearness to the museum--- easy walking distance.
No complaint. Every thing was first rate. We enjoyed out stay very much. Will happily recommend this hotel to future travelers.

The staff were excellent in providing help and were professional and courteous. The morning breakfasts were outstanding. My room was clean and tidy, with a stunning view across Kirkenes and the fjord.
The dinner service was mediocre, as was the food, especially giben the prices.

The food in the restaurant was incredible, we ate reindeer soup, and chicken risotto, both were delightfully light and flavorful. The menu would appeal to adults more than children. The breakfast buffet offered many choices from meats and cheese to cereal and delicious bread. The rooms in the hotel were spacious, free internet, comfortable beds.
It must have been during a recent renovation that they redid the bathrooms, the toilet seat did not stay up. No, ladies, this is not a blessing, because neither lid nor seat stayed up making it lean against your back while sitting... we had a room with a view and being summer we opened our window allowing nice fresh air in but also road noise.

Pleasant, comfortable, clean, friendly. Good breakfast. Expensive but all hotels in Kirkenes were expensive

The property though on the edge of town was pleasant, the staff for excellent and went out of their way to assist us. They arranged a special tour for us to see the boarder country and to go into one of the National parks in the area. We were very pleased.

The bedding was blissfully comfortable. Breakfast was excellent The bus stopped outside the door The second receptionist was really excellent
The first receptionist was not very good The room overlooked the road and the heavy lorries going past all night meant that I couldn't have the window open because of the noise.
