  Our room was beautiful although the taps were leaking which had lead to a damp patch - am sure this will be rectified asap though! We booked Suite Yasmine and were given Mamass which was a little disapointing as Yasmine was by far the superior one but it didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Be aware though that the Riad is on the main road and I am sure had you a room which didn't look over the swimming pool then the experience would probably have been tainted as these rooms were rather loud. Also note that the riad is about 25 minutes by taxi to Marrakech and it is about 150 dirhams to get there. The food was plentiful but there is no menu so it is a case of eat what is made and the service was ok - if we wanted a 5* experience though we would have checked in the Amanjena up the road!

  The room was very comfortable and well appointed, the linen immaculate and the deluge shower just super. By the end of the week, both of us felt immensely healthy and fit, having eaten most of our meals in the riad because we liked it so much. Ahmed, the owner of the riad, arranged for me to have a cookery lesson with the lovely Mahjouba and I learned to make a tagine dish; it was really great fun and very interesting. Breakfast was fruit and wonderful flat bread/pancakes that were incredibly moreish. I could ramble on for pages about the food it was so good. The location of the riad is great unless you're addicted to the sound of car hooters! The garden walls are garlanded with bougainvillea and the garden is subtly lit with lanterns at night to create a most romantic atmosphere. The swimming pool is a decent size and there are plenty of places to lounge in the sun or shaded seating areas to while away some time. The central area of the riad is just delightful, with a pool filled with rose petals, all lit by a lantern that is taller than me! Our driver Mohammed was just a delight and took us all around to the Atlas mountains, on a tour of town and on a trip to the east of Marrakech and was unfailingly cheerful, the girls who looked after the room changed the towels so often that I got confused and the wonderful Mahjouba came every morning to greet us.

  The service level was exceptional, the food amazing, and the amenities just right. There are no phones (although mobile coverage is excellent throughout Marrakech) and no internet service. If you need your fix of sports scores or work e-mail, they'll drive you down to the nearby village (or you can walk) where there is a hut featuring four Dell computers and internet access for 10 dirhams an hour (that's just over 50 pence). They don't want TVs in the rooms, but if you need a fix they've recently added a 60" plasma screen with a satellite dish in the theatre room. The staff is there - behind the scenes - to ensure that you're as comfortable as you can be. You can choose to stay on the grounds of the Riad and relax indoors or out, you can go for a long run through the olive fields behind the property, or you can utilise one of the drivers and cars provided at your service to take you into the inner walls of Old Marrakech (a magical experience I might add), or to one of three nearby golf courses. Her name is Mahjouba, and her Moroccan dishes were so excellent that we only ate dinner in the Medina (inside the walls of old Marrakech) three times over ten nights. Najat, one of the housekeeping staff, spent hours a day helping us out with ours. Finally, Azdine, the head of the staff there, is at your beck and call, ensuring that you are relaxed throughout the day.

  The weather was perfect not too hot and we were able to take full advantage of the garden and refreshing swimming pool. The staff were discreet but very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything to make our stay one to remember.

  If you're looking for a great setting, beautiful accommodation and first class service, this is the place for you. The owner is looking to create a homely setting for his guests, with you experiencing Moroccan hospitality at the finest level and he's certainly achieved that.

  I loved that by the pool area the staff would come by with water and then later tea. We had lunch there in which it was one of the best in my life, unbelievable. The beds were very comfortable and they used the finest linens. My girlfriend was hoping for more light in the bathroom but that was her only complaint about this hotel.

  We thought dinner was only mediocre and were disappointed that they served the same appetizer and dessert that we had for lunch.

  Having stayed in the centre of Marrakech this Riad was a delight with a huge swimming pool, beautiful colonial style garden and a mini cinema if you happen to get bored of sun bathing! The main entrance is stunning, the centre piece being a beautiful water pool covered in floating roses and the noise of cascading water echoing through the room and gorgeous lanterns casting exotic shadows across the stone walls. Immaculately clean with crisp white sheets, fresh flowers and bottled water left for us daily, it was`a truly luxurious stay. On our return for dinner, we were again treated like royalty by the really professional staff who were so friendly and available when ever you needed them but always discreet when you didn't. The service was first class and we were even chauffeured around at any time we needed transportation, our driver apologised for being two minutes late! Dinner was served upstairs in the most amazing room which overlooks the garden and we had a fantastic meal accompanied by live morrocan music that was really entertaining!

  Whether you want to lie by the pool in the beautiful garden or dine. They couldn't be more helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the family of staff who will cater for your every need, they are all a delight!

  She was overwhelmed with my choice of accommodation. Everything about the riad was even better than I had hoped - the decor, the grounds, the facilities, the staff, the food were all amazing. We were made to feel like royalty - the service was excellent but unobtrusive. Our bedroom was beautiful, with fresh flowers, thick fluffy towels and beautiful bed linen that was changed twice a day (my girlfriend told me to put that bit in). The cinema room is great if you are a movie freak like me, and it's right next to the pool so I could watch while she sunbathed - perfect.
