The kitchen was well-equipped and clean. The bed was comfortable, even though the room was small. The location provided easy access to public transportation.

The hotel was very difficult to find, with minimal signage and poor lighting. The front desk staff was not helpful and seemed uninterested in assisting guests.

At residhotel lyon lamartine we had a good stay. Private parking was provided to the guests. Pont Schuman was within walking distance. 9th arr. Neighborhood was worth exploring...

Staff in the hotel was great. Reasonably priced property.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. We also appreciated the easy access to the nearby tourist attractions and transportation. The room was also spacious and had comfortable bedding.

Our stay was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. The room had a strong odor of cigarette smoke, making it difficult to breathe.

Very inpolite personel. Upon arrival the receptionist seemd to be very enthusiastic to do a whole 2h marathon telephone call and very simply ignored the queue. Additional questions seemed to be a heavy burden for all employees. Cheers for such a lousy employee(s). Asking for payment in advance is always a warm welcome - I have to pay for something I have not seen yet? What if I do not like what is offered to me? What if it is not according to the booking agreement? Rooms were small. The refrigerator was so loud I had to sleep with tv on just to dimm the constant humming noise. Bathroom - Have you ever heard of shower? Like - a pole on the wall? I had to hold the shower to wash and rinse. You can guess if I am ever coming back. There is a Novotel next door...just in case.

Not too close to shops or metro, but it's ok fore to attend cooking class nearby.

Friendly staff, clean room with comfortable bed, kitchen facilities, separate bathroom and shower, good car parking facility.

For us it was ideal.

Location and proximity to places to eat

I arrived to Lyon by train, and reached the residency at midnight. The taxi dropped me in front of a suburb building that he couldn't find easily. Surprise, surprise, the front door closed and no reception. I called a phone number on the front door, and I was given an access code which never worked. He advised me to access the building from rear. But there were a huge wall and no visible access.The guy in the phone from the other line confessed that he'd never visited the so called residency. He couldn't help further. Twenty minutes later, in the middle of nowhere, one resident was coming back to his room, opened the front door with his swipe card and let me in. I found the key in a safe in the corridor. I could have spent my night out. When I talked to the reception the day after, no serious word of apology. They argued that there were a miss communication with the guy charged to keep the access code which was changed !!!

The location near the lovely park was ideal for jogging. The room was clean and spacious, with a good-sized bathroom and decent service. Breakfast was okay, parking was easy, and the staff were mostly friendly.

The hotel was located in a run-down area miles from the city center, making it hard to get around.
