  The staff are very courteous, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the free breakfast buffet is excellent. Loved the hotel and location.

  I was assigned a studio suite with queen bed which is quite spacious for a solo traveler and is really more like an apartment than a hotel room, with full kitchen and living area. I have stayed at this location a couple of times before, and have always enjoyed my stays. A special bonus this time was being able to view the launch of the space shuttle Endeavor from the front of the hotel. Efficient housekeeping staff kept everything tidy, even loading my dirty dishes and running the dishwasher during the day. They did fail to provide fresh washcloths one day, but I picked some up from the front desk with no problem, and the desk clerk apologized for housekeeping's oversight. Excellent complimentary full breakfast with selections to suit most any taste and menu selections vary from day-to-day.

  The biggest problem with this hotel is it has rooms with windows that don't open and no drying space for wet swimming costumes, hence the rooms have a permanent damp smell as they never get aired. The suites are pretty small, with the sleeping area just about having room for the bed - I'm not sure if this is as per all Residence Inns as this is the first we've stayed in. The breakfast was good and the Manager's Receptions ok. The pool area is quite nice but they shut it as soon as there is lightning five miles away (very common in Orlando in the summer! The reception staff were very good apart from one girl, whose name escapes me, who seems to be the keeper of the rules with regards to the closing of the pool, not making up the sofa bed for our son (why not-this is a Marriott at the end of the day) and other general stoppiness. I also can't believe that a business-based hotel doesn't have safes in the rooms.

  I hate having to ask for a key at reception and then getting cash out etc in front of everyone's prying eyes.

  Thought we might be taking a risk staying at this location since there were no recent reviews but it was close to the convention center where I was attending a conference. Since it took so long to clean the room I anticipated that it would be fresh.

  The room was not ready when we arrived for check in at 4:00 and had to go kill some more time in the area until 5:30. The bed linens were the only freah thing in the room (at least we got that) but the floor was so filthy that our socks were stained black. The toilet in the bathrom had a cracked flush handle, the tub spout was barely hanging on the wall and had tons of caulking around it. The noise from the pool and the hallway was very loud. The hotel has been updated with granite counter tops and perhaps fresh paint but it needs some serious deep cleaning and the worn out furniture needs to be replaced.

  I loved being able to place water and pop in the freezer. It was nice having ice cold pop and water to take to the parks. It was directly overlooking the pool, which was nice. I was able to hear kids playing in the pool, which I loved. The pool was a little dirty, but I went swimming at night. I've never had such an extensive complimentary breakfast before.

  I have had the pleasure of staying at this location more than 100 times and have always had an EXCEPTIONAL stay. Monica has done an exemplary job with her entire staff. I have chosen this location because of the professionalism that Monica and her entire staff convey to all of the guests during their stay. During the dinner buffet's I have seen Monica move from table to table talking with guests, calling some by name, asking if she or her staff can do anything to make their stay more pleasant. I would recommend this location to anyone.

• The front desk staff is very un-helpful when asking about local attractions. It seems like all of the employees on this side of town, meaning the Universal / Seaworld area, all have their "hands out" and it makes for an un-comfortable stay.

  The Walgreens staff greet you with a grunt, at the local restaurants, the service stinks, and to top it off, the hotel employees are rude, and can barely speak english themselves.

  We found all the staff very friendly and helpful,from our housekeeper,Marietta to the General Manager,Monica. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful,they were all very well informed. They were helpful with grocery shopping as the nearest was on Sandlake road,[Publix} Nothing seemed to be any trouble to them,had a few small problems in bathroom ,but these were attended to within minutes.
