If you are intending to visit Amsterdam, I recommend you sample this hotel which is good value for money.
Price was good for Amsterdam but shop around as prices differ hugely for this hotel.
Hotel Rembrandt Centrum is not different, although it does offer better value for money than the rest of the hotels in the same star bracket.
Overall, the location of the hotel was good but I think I could have found a much better value elsewhere -- either better quality for the money or the same quality for less money.
The location was excellent and very well situated overlooking a canal and very close to everything of interest, restaurants,etc.

If you haven't been to Amsterdam before, its worth ringing the hotel before travelling and asking them to organise a taxi from the airport.
Two words of warning - beware of the taxis outside central station.

The bedroom was a good size, incorporating a kingsize bed, desk, wardrobe and a couple of chairs with ensuite bath/shower room.

It's not a grand ol' hotel with a glistening lobby and restaurant (breakfast only in basement suited me fine) but a fine very old canal house complex that I can't wait to return to on my next visit.
The breakfast was excellent, plenty of food and really nice, cheese, meats, eggs, etc.
