The hotel is basic but clean and value for money. Nice pool and comfortable rooms. We had a room with a terrace which was really nice.

The service was not too great in that the bar was always closed and there was hardly anyone around to assist/serve breakfast or drinks by the pool. But I suppose you expect that with a hotel of this rating.

The guestrooms at The Originals City, Relax'Otel, Le Barcarès are absolutely amazing! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the air conditioning made the room so comfortable. I felt like I was in paradise!

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the bathtubs in the private bathrooms. But hey, that's just my preference.

Great location near the sea with several restaurants within walking distance. Also, the parking area was ample. The breakfast buffet had a diverse assortment of meats, cheeses, fruit, and much more. The room had a comfortable bed and aircon. The balcony provided views of the lush gardens.

The value for money at The Originals City was excellent, and our room was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, just a short stroll to the beach and close to shopping and entertainment. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay.

Breakfast delights could be improved with a faster toaster.

The hotel worked well for us - the surrounding area wasn't preposessing at all, but within 5 minutes we were at the beach and a few minutes walk got us into different parts of Bacares to eat, stroll etc. The pool area was well kept. We only had breakfast in the hotel on our last day (preferring to walk into town) but when we had it was OK. In terms of value for money, for what we wanted, it was good. The room was compact but clean and everything worked - the shower was good and housekeeping did a good job.

Not that it really mattered, but we never really connected with the people who worked in the hotel, which we normally do. I guess we're use to smiley and attentive people and although they were pleasant enough, we didn't click. Maybe my bad French causd a barrier!

My recent stay at The Originals City was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the terrace added a nice touch. The off-season value was great, making it an affordable option. The breakfast provided a good variety of options, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the secure lockup facilities for bikes.

The one drawback I encountered was the limited restaurant options at the hotel. However, the main town marina area, just a few kilometers away, offered a wider selection of dining choices.

Stayed for a weekend. The hotel provided free Wi-Fi and had a swimming pool. The location was great, only a short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. The rooms were clean and daily maintained, with large bathrooms and bathtub.

There were no English-speaking receptionists, which made communication difficult. The TV only had French channels.

The restaurant was good value for money , the service was good and friendly. The only downside was a three family group with young children who dined late and spoilt the ambiance of the place , treating the dining room as a playground

On our morning of departure there was not a member of staff who could check us out properly. She could not present a facture , did not know how to work their systems and took over 30 minutes before we were given a scrap of paper where she had scribbled the cost of various items, Poor presentation plus she continually chewed gum while talking.

I recently stayed at The Originals City in Le Barcares for one night. The hotel facilities are very good, with recent renovations. The staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet offered a great selection of food. The location is also fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to a beautiful, dog-friendly beach. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked really well, which was important during the summer. a pleasant stay.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.
