We have stayed in many five star hotels and there is no better value for the money!
The hotel is expensive, but unlike some expensive hotels it does represent very good value for money.
We came at the beginning of the peak season in Tuscany so the prices seemed a little steep at first for a hotel in the countryside.
This hotel was better value and quality than some of the more famous hotels in Italy and deserves to do well.
The hotel, surroundings and location are second to none.
I think it is the perfect location for a wedding by the way if you are that way inclined!
The location is wonderful, the buildings are wonderful, the breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, was spectacular.
All in all we would recommend La Suvera especially if you are looking for a romantic property in a beautiful location.
After three planes one of which was trans atlantic,escaping from Pisa airport( ignore ques they are meaningless) and a two hour drive we arrived at La suvera.
We had the Fox Suite, which was an unbelievable room, with the largest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and full of antiques.
Nevertheless, the bed and furniture were very comfortable.
The rooms are individually designed, with a historic feel to them, but the bathrooms could be better as are old fashioned.
If you stay her get a room in one of the suites.
Standard rooms were not very big but had very comfortable beds.
The Limone bar is lovely, and the food in the Oliveira restaurant was impressive (although to be honest we ate just as well in smaller, family-run restaurants in the surrounding area).
By our fourth night, after eating one meal at the more formal restaurant, and three at the Bar, we were ready for a change.
While the food in the main restaurant was very nice, I found it a bit over the top and preferred the less formal bar area for nights in at the hotel.
The bar was very welcoming with tempting food offers and wine list, as was the restaurant.
Although the food was lovely in the restaurant and the service superb, we found much nicer meals out locally and would recommend that you do that.
From the very beginning the staff and service was first class.
They direct us to wonderful places restaurants, the excellent service and great food great staff.
They parked the car for us, carried up the luggage, and the service and staff was just amazing through our two nights stay.
Owners are very nice and friendly unlike the reception staff.
The grounds were impeccable, the pool area was beautiful, the bar and informal restaurant was delicious and so pretty, and the spa/fitness area was small but lovely.
It holds no more than like 20 couples max, has a spa, pool and is absolutely beautiful.
Don't forget to stop by the spa as they have the most amazing jacuzzi that you have ever been in.
