Very good located, the location of the Hotel was fantastic and staff were very efficient and helpful.

The location is great and the hotel is located in the old part of town.

Good location for the Leaning Tower and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Its worth a taxi from the airport - about 11E.

And when I ordered a taxi to the airport in the evening to leave at 8,45 in the morning, when I went to leave, there was no taxi ordered.

The room was of average European size, but had a wood beamed ceiling, quality furnishings, very comfortable bed with comfortable linens, LCD TV and newly renovated modern bathroom.

There were no bath towels in the room and the bath tub was dirty.

Again, the bathroom was small, well tiny actually, but it had room for a bidet, bath basin etc and a huge original beam running through the middle - beautiful.

That didn't explain how my room could not possibly be the one described on the website (room for 4 to sleep when our room barely had room for the bed in it and a cot they set up for my niece).

We booked a twin-bedded room, but on arrival were shown to one with a double bed.

Most little pizza places are good around the tower area, but avoid Restaurant Antonietta -try the two next door and behind the twoer 200 metres past the gate try the bar Gelateria Toscana - their tourist rapido menu is great value at 9E.

The hotel gives you drinks and canapes about 7pm, but dinner can be very expensive; however next door to the right is a rated restaurant OSTERIA MIEL SAPORI with a quiet atmosphere and very good food - around 50E for a good meal with wine for two.

The personalized service was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, eating breakfast outside was lovely.

Unfortunately, we chose to eat in the hotel restaurant.

Everything - wonderful gourmet breakfast.

The service was impeccable, the hotel staff courteous and helpful.

The elevator was not in service while we were there and while the front desk was friendly, they were unable to get us a taxi to take us to the (somewhat nearby) train station and suggested we walk.

Observation - a couple checking out complained about the service at dinner in the restaurant the previous evening, but desk staff seemed helpless.

Most of the reception staff were helpful with the exception of one who claimed not to know a restaurant we enquired about that was only round the corner from the hotel.

Very green, then Very yellow and brown bathing water, and the Jacuzzi did not work.

I also had complications trying to retrieve the auto from parking valet for a day trip.

I concede that the owners have done a great job in restoring an old building internally and including very small lifts to take one to the upper floors.
