The staff and location were arguably the best part of the Hotel Regno. Location is right in the heart of ancient Rome. You are basically a five minute walk to the Trevi Fountain in one direction and then 7 minute walk to the Pantheon in the other. Perfect for walking to all the sites. Gabrieli from the hotel was awesome. He helped coordinate tours and was very helpful on suggestions on what do first and what was where. Also, there was a pretty good breakfast. I'd say it was more of a 3 star hotel than a 4.

The room accommodations were ok. Considering the fact the location was great, I feel this wasn't a terrible trade-off. I was traveling through Rome during the hottest part of the year, (june/july), so we cranked the ac to the max. It never got very cold. The decor is somewhat dated, and the hotel has converted to an eco-friendly water system which was very inconvenient when you're staying with multiple people in a room. Also, the beds were not very comfortable. No wireless in the room itself. While there was a wireless area designated on the first floor, you had to hook up directly to Landline in your room, and it wasn't cheap.

We appreciated the helpful and friendly staff, as well as the perfect location. I was with my elderly mother, so the elevator was important. We booked two rooms. My mother had a small single with a double bed which she loved. We had a 4 person room. Both rooms had a balcony outside. We were on the 5th floor and had great views.

The only minus for me was that we booked a 4 person room which consisted of 2 twin beds and a pullout couch. The beds were comfortable, but the couch was of typical quality where the perimeter of the mattress was higher and firmer than the middle, so I was constantly repositioning myself at night. To me, tho, it was a minor deal compared to the bigger picture. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel located right in the centre. Personnel is friendly and nice. I also liked that they did not pre-authorise the credit card. A good choice to stay in Rome.

There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the toilet - an unusual thing in after the smoking ban. Also temperature in the shower was jumping at night. Consider taking a bath.

        The location is great.

There seems to have been a change of direction in the management of the hotel. Staff are no longer helpful. I used to recommend the hotel to many people but won't do so in the future after the poor service and tiny room I experienced.

Friendly reception staff who were willing to help in any form. The location of the hotel is exceptional. Loved the style of the rooms, paticularly the quality of our room on our second visit on 19th September.

Very good location and had a nice little verandah

Thought the standard had dropped dramatically since last visit four years ago

The location is surprising. It is so close to both the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Restaurants, take-out and shopping are also close. An added treat is the balcony complete with awning and table.

It is a little convoluted getting to and from the fifth floor. Two elevators or a stair and elevator. I guess this is unavoidable because of the 2 buildings.

I loved the area, right on Via del Corso from where it was so easy to get everywhere. The personnel of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room on the 5th floor with a great view.

We liked the location which was within easy walking distance of places we wanted to visit. We had a quiet room at the rear of the property. We would book Hotel Regno again.

        Location only

Room far too small but the shower room was almost impossible. We paid 348 euro such a rip off. 2 nights only Never again.

My experience wasn`t good. I was there with my sister Maria Luiza.. Unfortunately, one bathroom pipe break, and we wasn´t able to use the bathroom acomodation. Althhough that, the repair didn`t occur until while we was there. The obvious consequence was the imposssibility to use the bathroom all the night. The reduction in 13 euros in the total wasn`t enough to compensate the problems. In summary , I don`t recmmend this hotel for friends. Elza Cotrim Soares
