Outdoors, in the small cafes around the hotel you could get breakfast at very low prices.
This hotel is a great value for the money and we can't wait to return.
The hotel itself is the sister hotel to the Colon, which is right next door - and far better value for money, with friendlier staff.
The room we had cost 75 Euros per night and this was excellent value given the location and the quailty of the hotel.

Great location, an incredibly well located hotel and the staff was very helpful.
The hotel is located just off the Cathedral Square in the Barrio Gotica -- a wonderful location.
From the airport you can take the Airbus (leaves in front of the airport next to the taxi's each 10-15 minutes) which brings you to Placa Catalunya for only € 3,50 (single trip).
The hotel staff cheerfully made our dinner reservations, arranged wake up calls, and arranged for taxi pickup to the airport.
Not only was the bed comfortable, but both the room and bathroom were spacious and immaculate.
The only problem with the room is that it was two single beds, not a double bed.
The room was very clean and well decorated, with plenty of wardrobe space, a good en suite bathroom, mini bar and a safe.
The room was fairly basic, but as long as it has nice cold air con and a comfy bed, that was all we wanted.
Unfortunately, the Colon Hotel rooms turned out to be run down, with stained upholstery, linens, and carpeting, no air conditioning, and an old, lumpy bed.
For breakfast we avoided the tourist restaurants and headed to the amazing market off Las Ramblas for coffee and tortilla, very cheap when sitting at the bar/counter.
The price of the room didn't include breakfast but there is no need, as you walk outside and there are restaurants everywhere and you can eat really inexpensive in Barcelona.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as it looked expensive but found a cafe on the sqaure which did good value breakfasts.
A good hot and cold buffet breakfast is available (10 euros)in the hotel, but there is also an excellent cafe bar just around the corner where you can get bacon and eggs for 3.
It's close to great shops, restaurants and public transport links.
The breakfast was good and the staff at the reception very friendly and willing to assist with everything (restaurants, reservations, etc).
