Its location is nice, although removed from the old town area.

Despite its minor shortcomings, for its facilities, location (5mins walk to metro and supermarket), price and service.

1] We would support the positive comments about the location vis-a-vis the metro, Eduard VII Park, El Corte Ingles etc.

It is a handy 8 euro ride from the airport and although it is in the Northern tip of the main area of Lisbon it is only a 3 min walk to the nearest metro and a few stops to the centre of town.

Got stung by a taxi driver on the trip from the airport to the hotel.

The rooms have wired (not wireless/wifi) internet access, free of charge with ports in the living room, bedroom, and bathroom.

Well appointed bathroom, large bedroom with queen size bed + a safe.

The bedroom was a good size and there was a sofa bed in the living room.

A very spacious lounge/dining room with bedroom, bathroom and a full size kitchen, all for two people!

The bedroom was large with two full size beds in it and another flat panel TV.

Perhaps we were lucky, the hotel was quiet, and at breakfast there were never any more than six people in the restaurant and there was a good selection of food, scrambled eggs, ham, cereal, fruit etc.

My rate included breakfast and the choces, while not as extensive as a good German buffet breakfast, were good and the meal was a nice way to start the day without cooking in your suite.

The small bistro style café downstairs served a full range of buffet breakfast.

Breakfast is served in the hotel's quaint little cafe and was a nice assortment of cheeses, pastries, cereal, juices, jams, and breads.

After a days wandering around it is nice to take it easy and not have the hassle of going to the restaurant.

Despite denials by some reception staff we found a laundrette in the next street behind the hotel that do service washes but you do need to be able to speak Portoguese!

Reception staff were helpful and polite, no problem with overcharging, just asked if we had used mini bar thats all.

The reception staff were extremely wonderful.

2] We would also support the positive comments regarding the reception staff but were unfortunate enough to encounter restaurant staff who appeared to hate their jobs and were certainly lacking a customer-centric ethos.

Staff at the hotel were excellent, front desk especially helpful on arrival offering maps and tips on where to go and how to get there.

The room was spotless and maid service was great.
