Rayavadee Hotel Krabi - 甲米

A great location for sure and efficient welcome ever.

The location is superb and be aware that the beach is open to other people.

Rayavadee has a great location and enchanting place.

We were collected from the airport and taken to the Rayavadee private jetty.

Plenty of massages, foot scrubs available from the beach as my wife will confirm.

The beds in the rooms are hard and water pressure in the bathrooms is lacking (by the time we were able to fill the deep soaking tub, the water had turned cold!

In those designed for two there is a sitting room and downstairs lavatory, and a large bedroom (with sitting area) and bathroom upstairs.

Our Hydropool Villa was fantastic, with lots of little extras thrown in, we had a huge bed, the ensuite is lovely with a huge round bath big enough for two and a large walk-in shower.

The bath tub was a round and huge, it took ages to fill but when filled was really good, there were candles left in the bathroom to make it even more romantic.

When we arrived at our pavilion, we were impressed by the size of the pavilion and even with 3 people, the extra bed in the living room fitted perfectly and we still had the privacy we needed with the split-level design.

Didn't eat in the resort apart from breakfast ,which I think is a massive selection of food ,for dinner we ate at the restaurants outside the resort on East Railay.

However food not great in any of the restaurants we tried (didn't use fine dining) & sent meals back including in the Thai restaurant which was a disappointment.

The Thai restaurant is a disgrace to the cuisine, the breakfast buffet, for the price, is a joke and room service takes eternity.

We have a policy of "eating local" when we are on holiday (makes a change from the hotel food we both eat a lot of when travelling for work)- so aside from breakfast, we never ate at the resort.

There are three main restaurants (one only open until 5pm), each serving excellent food - especially the Thai restaurant.

The Railay Beach area is a little more spacious, all of the places we stayed in have exceptional service and the staff is extremely friendly.

The service is professional and charming, but few of the staff speaks more than a few words in English.

If you would like to go to Phranong Beach, it's about a 10 minute walk through the resort, or you can get picked up by a buggie by the staff by just dialing reception.

There is no evident reception desk and welcome information was done by individual members of staff sat at tables overlooking the beach.

Room service is surprisingly cheap, the Thai restaurant is extremely good and the pool is lovely as is the spa.

We got very lucky and they upgraded us to a spa pavilion directly on Railey Beach right next to the pool.

Everything from the included shuttle service (speed boat and car) to housekeeping met or surpassed our expectations.

The accomodation was pristine, and gorgeous, a hot bath run for when we arrived full of petals, candles lit, the lights dimmed, and a bottle of bubbly on the side (in ice).

The afternoon cookies and fresh fruit were wonderful, and sitting in our sitting room and enjoying them as we looked out at the jungle was absolutely fantastic.
