Ramses Hilton Hotel Cairo - 开罗

The location is ideal, right in the heart of Cairo, you've got the Egyptian museum hardly 5mins walk away and because your centrally situated all the great sites are not more than 15-20 mins away by taxi-excluding the pyramids about 40mins drive.

The location is in downtown area but it's not close to anywhere nice to walk.

Excellent location for nearby sightseeing.

Next to the museum is Tahrir square where you have a metro station very handy to get to Khan el-Khalili the bazaar, the Coptic Cairo which definitely deserves a visit, and many others stations which I did not explore.

Check the cyber in the street surrounding this spaghetti junction, close to the museum and the metro station.

Carpets are bit tired, but otherwise the room was well maintained, great shower, clean bathroom, OK Bed (not like westin's beds) and big rooms.

Rooms are great, spacious, could maybe do with updating but still a comfortable bed, with a clean bathroom.

The room was a non smoking room with a king size bed, new carpet, lots of room , a very spacious in-room safe, and a spectacular view ( we were on the 18th floor )of the city and the Nile.

The king sized bed was comfortable, the room large and well appointed.

The bed was good, bathroom a bit dated but quite sufficient.

Breakfast has to be the best selection and the bar snack menu is also very good reasonably priced.

The hotel also has a small pool overlooking the Nile, and a panoramic restaurant and bar on the top floor with incredible views of the city (although your ears tend to pop in the lift on the way up).

Comparing this to Ramses Hilton's rooftop bar, which is an enclosed restaurant called Windows of the World, it lacks the atmosphere I want.

Dine at restaurants in the Midan Tahrir area (south and east of hotel) and skip the roof-top restaurant.

One major peeve I had with one of the restaurants (the one that serves the buffet breakfast) was that they quoted us different prices.

The reception lobby is a free for all for smokers and the front desk staff are polite.

The staff in reception area was really unprofesional about costumer service with careless and slow service; some of them had no idea about what kind of facilities have the hotel (Internet service and timetables of breakfast service).

Staff were very service oriented and friendly, especially helpful were the two young women at the Hilton Honors desk and the waiter and lifeguard at the pool (both named Ahmed!

The huge columns in the lobby make for a very impressive reception area, and staff are pleasant and professional.

They do have a pool and gym, but i did not have time to use it.

Fitness and spa facilities: don't bother.

The gym is small and the spa facilities, did not look very relaxing.

Rooms were clean, the breakfast Buffet was varied and delicious, the concierge desk was extremely helpful.

The room was clean, the food was excellent.

We found the rooms to be clean, but outdated.

The rooms are spacious, clean and bright, with a nice little balcony.

The room was very much standard but with the great view of the Nile and clean.
