Ramla Bay Resort

I'd recommend hiring a car though due to the remote location, just for convenience, although the public transport from the nearby bus stop is excellent and very cheap.

This isn't your clubbers resort, its a super elegant and private location where you can relax and soak up the sun.

Thankfully its size, and location on the waterfront also means you never feel over crowded or in the need to rise at 4am to secure a sun lounger!

The ride from the airport to the hotel is a bit arduos (about 40 minutes by taxi) but once we arrived in the hotel, we found it excellent.

I will be coming back here to try to take in more of the touristy side of things, due to the bus and taxi drivers strike this was not possible on this visit.

There is a king size bed in the bedroom and there are 4 narrow couch beds in the kitchen area in our apartment.

When we booked we had asked for a higher-floor room with a double bed, so we were very disappointed to be given a first-floor room with twin beds.

The room was well decorated, clean and the bed was comfortable.

Our bed room was exactly as the photo but the hall was different with smart and Modern decoration with woodentec furnitures.

Although there was only the 2 of us, I think we had a family room - with a double bed and 2 singles.

The bar and pool bar menu and food was far nicer then that in the main restaurant, maybe because it is freshly cooked also reasonably priced.

The bar staff were friendly and excellent, the restaurant staff were miserable and hopeless-no ice most nights when ordering drinks with your meal yet the bar had ice later on?

We did not eat in the dining room but we did have bar meals which were excellent and very reasonably priced.

The two pools are excellent with plently of loungers and a good poolside bar and restaurant serving Pasta, Salads, Burgers, Chips etc.

The hotel has two restaurants (a buffet-style one and an a la carte one), a bar and a poolside café (in the day time).

The reception staff were only too willing to do anything they could to make our stay more enjoyable.

Reception staff were very friendly and efficient.

Our Wedding reception was outstanding and the staff couldn't do enough to make our day really special.

I am a wedding planner and specialize in locations abroad and none compare to this location for the views, professional staff and service.

The spa area is small, pool is nice, new cv exercise equipment, jacuzzi would have been nice but hadnt been cleaned for a while judging by the thick layer of residue on the tub sides.

I spent my days between the Spa and the pool.

There are many amenities which include a dive school, indoor pool, with sauna and massage available, Hire cars and taxis are readily available, the ferry to Gozo near enough to walk to, day trips to Comino easily arranged etc.

With a large balcony and chairs and ample storage the room was light clean and fresh.

The rooms were of a very good size and kept spotlessly clean by the chambermaids.

The staff were very kind and helful to us 'oldies', our room beautifully set out, clean with the most lovely view over to the Islands of Comino and Gozo.

It was very clean and the beds were really comfy, a first for a hotel.

The rooms are clean and modern, most of which have excellent balconies.
