Ramee Guestline Deira Hotel Apartments

On arrival in Dubai, we began with a taxi ride in which the driver wanted us to direct him to the hotel.

In fact although the bed was quite comfortable I can honestly say I have never heard such a loud squeek from even the slightest movement (with 3 kids in the apartment, this was not going to be a romantic weekend).

2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, living area and dining space.

I would describe the whole decor as "tired", it was perfectly clean, but every piece of furniture needed replacing from the sofas to the wardrobes, to the beds.

There were only first-floor rooms so, tired as we were, we bedded down until the drumming stopped at around 3am.

15am flight from Mumbai, our room was not ready (nor should it have been) so we dumped the bags and went in search of breakfast.

Up at 5:30 and downstairs to a 7 o'clock breakfast which was unappealing and sometimes spicy.

Ultimately we decided to stay, we had a fantastic weekend of shopping, skiiing, quad biking eating, drinking and more shopping.

We only used the hotel to sleep so I cannot comment on the food or the nightclubs.

There are many Ramee hotels in Dubai, so be prepared to become fast-food.

Reception did not call our taxi, as requested the previous night, and the bellboy asked US for the telephone number of Dubai Taxi.
