Initially not so keen on the location, right near the south ring and out of town, but a 2 minute walk to the tram stop, and the cheap/efficient tram service has you at the main square in about 20 minutes.
Large, spacious, only it is underground (-2), so no sign of daylight down there.
The hotel has an underground parking facility for 10 Euro/day, but the max.
80 €), room service is 24/24 available for snacks and drinks, the bathroom is a wide bath/shower with sink, toilet, hairdryer and toiletries are provided.
My room was 711, slightly larger than the average bedroom, the bed is not the most comfortable that I have slept in, (too firm), and pillows too thin.
The hotel is a good alternative to central city - excellent room, the bed is fantastic and le buffet petit-déjeuner propose un large choix.
Ordered a double room and was placed in a single room with a small bed.
The comfort level of the bed were the only decent part of the hotel and great Breakfast included in the price.
This restaurant was also used during mornings for the breakfast buffet.
The breakfasts were a little hit & miss, & if you were not in the dining room early, all the best food had gone with no replenishment.
Helpful staff members, comfortable rooms and the restaurant served simple very enjoyable food.
We had an evening meal at the hotel which was expensive but enjoyable, we liked the bar facility in the evening very pleasant & relaxing, we tended to use this as we were an 8 minute tram ride from the town centre.
The breakfast catered to all tastes, from smoked salmon,cheese,ham , salad etc to a full cooked breakfast.
The hotel has an impressively grand entry hall, efficient reception staff, a nice bar.
We've just returned from belgium after 6 lovely nights there,the staff at the Corinthia couldn't be more accomodating.
One of the staff told us that the hotel was full every weekend.
Fresh fruit was available free throughout the day from reception.
The elevator from the parking area to the lobby was really shabby, and the lobby itself is, in a word, tacky.
The hotel has a sauna and fitness, which we did not visit.
The gym was like in any hotel - not really enough for serious training.
Our room was very good, spacious, airy, comfortable & clean, with a safe in the room, although the complimentary extras were very expensive.
Bathroom was clean, OK, a bit of the 1980's about it.
Room was clean and uncluttered, but bland.
Check-in was easy, the room was clean and big, and the included buffet breakfast in the morning was really good (for Europe).
Rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, always spotlessly clean.
