The hotel was very clean and for the price we were satisfied.
The location was excellent because it was close to downtown Monterey, the Wharf, and the aquarium.
Excellent location for visits to Monterey or for immediate return to hwy 1.
The bed was cozy, but not much wiggle room.
The room was reasonably spacious with a short wall dividing the bed from the work space.
I loved to stay 2 nights in one King bed with fireplace,room was clean, Fireplace was comforting, heated pool and complimentry breakfast was much more valued than what we paid for.
I don't think our room had air conditioning, and the marquis made it sound like it was available in some rooms only.
Staff were polite and helpful, the bed was very comfortable.
We walked to the beach, to the best little coffee shop (Peet's) and restaurants, shopping, the Wharf etc.
My only real complaint was that the breakfast area was tiny.
Continental breakfast was as expected, Raisin Bran & Frosted Flakes, fruit, milk & OJ along with some danishes and some really nasty coffee, but what do you expect for under $100?
The continental breakfast is very good and you can have as much as you like.
Many nice restaurants there too, but a bit more pricy.
Front desk staff was helful, the speed of check-in was very fast.
Free wireless Internet -- I'd missed the fact that they offered this service, so I was happy to find out I could check my daily news and figure out where we were going to eat for dinner.
The service was good (helped with directions) and it was also not too far from downtown or the sights.
He refused, so I called Hotels (where I made the reservation) and they were very accommodating.
Comfortable for the price and the small check-in lobby has some very nice brochures.
We didn't know that there was a heated pool, otherwise we would have brought our swimwear.
By the time we got back (around 10pm) the parking lot was filled almost to capacity.
The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the room was plenty big.
I would have given this 2 stars because of the noise, but I'm giving it 3 stars because the room was VERY well kept, clean, and had a great shower massage head!
The room was large and pool was heated and clean.
The bathroom did have some mildew on the walls, but the shower itself was very clean, albeit short.
The room was outdated and not that clean.
