Room was filthy, cobwebs all over, mould in bathroom and on patio curtains, not cleaned properly, dirty linen on one of the beds, toilet smelled of stale urine( receptionist gave me some disinfectant to spray in it!

I know 65 Aus dollars is cheap for a room, but I expected the basics; like clean sheets, not a bed full of grit that felt as if someone had slept in it with their shoes on.

The price was great and the rooms were nice and clean- good beds and nice decor.

Room and bathroom hadn't been swept or cleaned, patio door to poolside didn't lock.

The dinner in the restaurant was really great food.

However it was close enough to the city centre to walk to the Esplanade's shops and restaurants and the shower was hot and strong after a long flight.

One thing in the favour of the staff at the Rainbow Inn was that we received our money back for the 3 nights that we didn't stay, which I thought was very gracious of them.

There is a bus service, but it is infrequent.

My sister always says "Beware the hotel that only shows a picture of the swimming pool in the travel brochure!

It was very basic, clean enough but the room smelt musty and the sliding door to the balcony was not at all secure.
