While it's true the Resort is paying what the market will bear, the employees' discomfort is obviously finding its way through to hotel guests.

We have been to 5 star plus hotels all over the world and this is amongst the top, not just for location but also for food and service.

This place has it all; genuinely sincere service culture, great location and views, perfect beach (choice of two!

Nice location for dinner as long as you get a breeze.

From there we took a short bus ride from the airport and greeted at the resort by the top 3 in management and it went all heaven from there.

We were whisked away from the airport in a private cab and brought directly to the check-in.

We had a suite with a very large living room, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful bedroom.

Rooms - (1 Bedroom Suites) Big, clean great views, two bathrooms.

The rooms are lovely (we had a 1 bed personality suite with own plunge pool), I must admit.

The rooms are terrific with beautiful views overlooking the water and two bathrooms in each suite.

This staff is totally professional and one bed villas have two bathrooms as well.

Over the course of our 8 days we had 4 wrongly booked meals, wrong restaurant once but mainly booked us into restaurants that had no room for us!

There are 4 restaurants to choose from--we ate at all of them, and never once had a bad meal.

The island is just beautiful, nice location for dinner as long as you get a breeze and the best place to eat is the fine dining restaurant up by the casino by far.

The restaurant staff even opened the restaurant 1 hour early every day in the evening for our youngest to eat, a meal which the prepared ad hoc every day off menu, and this was done with a smile.

Even though the breakfast buffet is complementary, it is very hard to eat for less than $250 per day if you have any drinks with your meals.

Lived through that hell with the staff and maybe that affected the high-level of service we got.

The flights, weather, resort, staff and service could not have been better.

A nice view, the beach staff provided the perfect lazy day atmosphere and the service at the Raffles Canouan was attentive.

Activities - Golf, Tennis, Gym, Spa, Sailing, gambling, Beach.

We played tennis, went to the gym, and some days just stayed at the beach or the pool.

We chose to just relax by the pool most of the time, however if you wanted to be active there is a whole schedule of daily acitivites you can participate in if you choose.

On a similar note, although the property advertises wireless internet, I (and one of my friends) had trouble connecting to the network.

The setting is certainly beautiful - the sea is incredibly clear, the knowledgable staff take excellent care of you and the rooms are nice dated.

The rooms and grounds were clean and neat.

We stayed in a garden view room which was huge, very clean with lovely views.

There was fresh fruit in our room everyday.

Simple island are unforgettable, views are wonderful and easier places to get to as well. The prices are high, interiors are defined by stylish earthy tones and the staff are quite courteous. Hairdryers are very good and the pool is another highlight - great swim up bar. The food is exceptional, the spa is one of the best in the Caribean.

Perfect beach and the best views are from #13 hole on the golf course. Restaurants - 4 places to eat - all good and smiling staff member holding a large picnic basket. Rooms are awesome, the breakfast buffet is quite nice and ambience of the spa is spectacular.

Just beautiful views and this isa a very nice place. Pool service good and check-in - great. Snorkling - Clear water and large terrace.

Large living area over looking the sea and beautiful setting. Spa - Great service, wonderful bed/linens and the staff in the restaurant - led by the Cambodian Nara - were absolutely fantastic. Pool were superb.

Large living area over looking the sea, we usually stay in high rated resorts and the service at the Raffles Canouan was attentive. The room was spectacular, the food was superb and the staff throughout the resort was incredibly well trained for the Caribbean.

Great setting, staff - Friendly and a very large living room. Drinks at the many beautiful bars on the breathtaking grounds and good food. Interesting menus and one of the best in the caribbean.

No better than most of the restaurants in the area and dirty little lakes in most of the holes.

Really great island hotel and staff friendly. A beautiful bedroom and 2 large LCD TVs. The food excellent and one of four good choices. Better than many other Caribbean resorts, pool - big.
