The location was also excellent, with safe parking nearby (at £15 per 24 hours) and all Manchester city centre on your doorstep.

The hotel is a great location, its only a couple of minutes away from the main shops and there were loads of places to eat nearby (we had a late night subway which is about 20 feet from the hotel entrance!

Good location, at the nearby Great Northern development and hotel design so nice.

50 for a taxi through the hotel to take us and pick us up from the concert, as it was raining we thought we would treat ourselves huh.

Speaking of shops, there are mini versions of Sainsbury's and Tesco nearby, and the hotel is practically opposite a Subway so if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the minibar and breakfast you needn't go far.

It now seems clear that instead of a deluxe double room we were given a disabled room, complete with an emergency flashing alarm next to one of the beds, and the unromantic prospect of a bath & toilet suite kitted out with handle bars!

Room was huge with lovely comfortable bed and amazing two roomed bathroom.

Room was very nice, bed was very comfortable, views fab, loved the wet bathroom, showers presure was amazing only one slight peroblem the glass sink bolw was chipped but it was only slight and did not cause any problems.

The room was good with smart looking bathroom, good view and comfortable bed.

The room was excellent with a very large, comfortable bed and a superior bathroom / wet room.

Over breakfast, mum and dad waxed lyrical about how much they had enjoyed their stay; the spa, restaurant, bar and service were all in their opinion faultless and the staff bent over backwards to ensure that they had everything they needed.

The Bar is trendy & chic and if you don't eat in the restaurant you'll be missing out on a fabulous experience.

It’s true that the bar and restaurant are both expensive, but the cocktails are excellent as was the food and service.

We also dined at the 'OpusOne' restaurant and bar and the three course meal was sensational.

Prior to going we were advised from Trip Advisor that the restaurant and breakfast was very expensive so we ate out at a Turkish Restaurant in Deansgate (around the corner) £45 for three course for two with drinks and coffee.

Had a good view of part of Manchester, the location of the hotel was excellent for shops and overall the reception staff concierge were exceptionally friendly.

A particular point to the staff, they were all so friendly and helpful, from David on reception to the concierge boys, we were impressed by them all and they all genuinely wanted to help (this is something we havent always found in hotels).

Overall the reception staff & concierge were exceptionally friendly and helpful - a 5* hotel with 5* staff.

It has a nice gym and pool / sauna which is never too busy.

We also used the gym and spa/pool which is great for relaxing after a busy day shopping.

The spa itself was OK, I haven't been to a hotel spa before so didn't know what to expect but it was quite basic, with a small pool, women were practically queuing to use the jacuzzi which could only fit about 4 people in it.

From the outset, the staff were friendly and attentive, the hotel decor was clean and modern, yet adhered to its Edwardian roots, and the room included everything needed for comfort away from home.

We had a deluxe room on the 10 floor getting out of lift gave us first great view ove rmanchester the hotel is very well apointed, clean and modern.

The position was good the rooms clean, drop our luggage off the day before was a big help as we didn't get to the hotel 01.

Rooms clean and adequate, the bar has good service.

In addition the hotel is too clean, the staff are courteous and we even are planning to use the bathroom set up to re do our own.
