Overview

Located within a 10-minute walk from city centre, across from the University of Iceland, this four-star hotel provides an easy access to the National Museum, National Library and other points of interest.

Good views from most directions out over the city, the hotel spa is very nice and the staff on the reception could not have been more helpful.
Short 10 minute walk to city central and normally gyms in a hotel are very poor.

Getting there

From Keflavik Airport by car (45minutes of drive): follow signs toward Reykjavik, follow Reykjanesbraut (№ 41) for about 35 minutes to a town Hafnafjordur. Continue through this town and at the fourth traffic light, take a right turn in the direction of Reykjavik. Drive through the towns of Gardabaer and Kopavogur. (The road will now be called Kringlumyrarbraut.) After passing the Kringlan shopping mall on the right side and crossing through the Kringlumyrarbraut/Miklabraut intersection, turn left to Miklabraut at the big traffic lights. Continue straight until the first roundabout and exit left. Take the first right turn to the hotel.

The domestic airport, Reykjavik Airport, is located within five minutes by car from the hotel.

Basement spa area is excellent nice hot tub lit be candlelight and a small sauna, the best thing about this hotel is the quiet location, very good breakfast as always is in Radisson Sas.
